Itineraries
In the morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer you to the Mekong Princess at Saigon Port (05 Nguyen Tat Thanh, District 4) for embarkation. Please be ready between 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
Once aboard, you'll receive a safety briefing at the Ramvong Lounge and a warm welcome from the Vietnamese and Cambodian crew. After departure, enjoy lunch while cruising along the Saigon River. The ship will sail through the Saigon, Soai Rap, Nuoc Man, Vam Co, and Cho Gao rivers into the Mekong River.
Later, relax with crafted cocktails as you watch the sunset and sampans pass by. A traditional Vietnamese “A La Carte” dinner will be served in the Indochine restaurant.
In the morning, sampans will take you through a mangrove-lined channel. You'll try the local "xe lam" (three-wheeler) to visit a coconut candy maker, followed by a walk through a village orchard where you can taste fresh fruits. Afterward, enjoy a boat ride through narrow creeks lined with Nipah palms before returning to the ship.
This afternoon, the ship sails through a less-visited area of the Mekong Delta to Hoang Dieu Harbor near Can Tho city, known as Tay Do.
After an early dinner, take a bus to explore Can Tho city, including a tour of the night market. You’ll have time to explore the charming city before returning to the ship, which docks overnight.
*Onboard activity: Lecture on Vietnam's people, culture, and colonial history.
After a continental breakfast, take a sampan cruise through the Cai Rang floating market, enjoying fresh fruit and coconut water while capturing great photos. Visit a dry noodle factory, the Zihuang Pagoda, and the Binh Thuy Ancient House. Then, head to Hoa An village to explore flower gardens and a local home, followed by a motor trishaw ride to see conical hat-making families. Enjoy a walk through the village before the ship anchors near Gieng Island.
After breakfast, we board sampans to explore Gieng Island. We visit the sampan village and take a canal drive through mango gardens, followed by a ride on a “xe loi” (motor trishaw) to visit Phanxico Monastery.
In the afternoon, we visit Hong Ngu village near the Vietnam-Cambodia border, known for its Khmer scarves. Watch the weaving process and meet local artisans, including embroidery artists. We also visit the local Hoa Hao temple.
The ship sails and anchors in Tan Chau overnight.
*Onboard activity: Cooking Class Demonstration by the Executive Chef.
This morning, the Mekong Princess sails to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. After completing immigration, you’ll enjoy a city tour by cyclo. Visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, and National Museum, which showcases artifacts from the Angkorian and pre-Angkorian periods.
After the shore excursion, please place your checked luggage outside your suite as you bid farewell to the Mekong Princess and crew at Phnom Penh Port. Disembark at 5:00 PM.
*Onboard activity: Fruit Carvings & Tropical Fruits Demonstration.
