Itineraries
Explore the topic of spirituality in spiritual discussions and meditation, with the beautiful backdrop of the Mekong river to inspire your thoughts and personal reflections. Discover the spiritual side of Laos on this unique Bounmi cruise experience.
This afternoon tour starts from the ancient capital of Luang Prabang, where a traditional Lao slow boat will be waiting to take you on a journey along the Mekong’s magical waters. You’ll get a glimpse of authentic Laotian life as you cruise past traditional villages where many generations have made their living on the Mekong river, and who will greet you with heart-warming smiles from the shore. Your cruise will make a stop at Wat Had Siew where your tour continues on land at this beautiful Buddhist Lao temple. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea with an enlightening side of Buddhist philosophy and meditation discussions with Ms. Korn, an esteemed meditation practitioner and teacher, and Satthu Oun Huan, a highly respected head monk in Luang Prabang who is well-regarded and sought after for his meditation teachings and practice. It is extremely rare to receive a private audience with Satthu Oun Huan and thus, we are deeply honoured (and incredibly excited) that he has opened his doors to Bounmi’s guests. Together with Ms. Korn, Satthu Oun Huan will guide you in your meditation practice in this uniquely personal experience. There will be time for more spiritual discussions following your meditation practice, before cruising back down the Mekong to Luang Prabang.
Each of our Wellness & Meditation tours were crafted with care and made possible with the rich knowledge, close relationships and personal friendships we’ve created with Laotian natives, local communities, and the mighty Mekong herself.
