0830 MEETING POINT

Meet your English-speaking tour host (Adele) and your boat captain at the docks.

0830 – 0900 CRUISE STARTS

Your host will give you an introduction to the day as you cruise on the Mekong towards Wat Had Siew temple. Learn about the connection of the Mekong river to the spirituality and culture of Laos.

0900 – 0915 ARRIVAL AT WAT HAD SIEW TEMPLE

Arrive at Wat Had Siew and meet Ms. Korn, a devout Buddhist and Meditation and Wellness Specialist who will be leading the almsgiving offering and meditation practice on your tour.

0915 – 1100 ALMSGIVING & MEDITATION PRACTICE

You’ll proceed to Almsgiving. You will be given a traditional Lao scarf (Pha Biang) to wear during the alms offering ceremony. This covers the left shoulder as a sign of respect to the Satthu, novice, and temple. After the offering ceremony, Ms. Korn will lead you in the meditation practice.

1100 DEPART WAT HAD SIEW TEMPLE

Depart Wat Had Siew and start your journey back to Luang Prabang. Use this time for any Q&As or just sit back and relax as you cruise down the Mekong once again. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.

1130 ARRIVAL IN LUANG PRABANG

The tour is now concluded. Transportation will be provided to take you back to your hotel.

Cruise itinerary and schedule are subject to change due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions. Unused services are not subject to a refund.
Meals on board are fusion: Lao menu. Guests should advise of any special food preferences, allergies or dietary requirements at least three days prior to the cruise date.
Advance registration is required with full name, date of birth, nationality, gender, passport number and visa expiry date for all passengers. A valid passport is required upon check-in. Otherwise, boarding may be denied by port authority.
