Ha Giang Tour 5 days: Essential Ha Giang Discovery

We will set off from Hanoi early at 8:00 AM and embark on a drive to Ha Giang, taking up most of the day. Along the way, make plenty of stops to capture breathtaking photos and savor a delicious lunch. Upon arrival in Ha Giang City, check in to your hotel and have the rest of the day to relax. In the evening, enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay in Ha Giang City.

After checking out of your hotel at 7:00 AM, enjoy a delicious breakfast and head to the famed Dong Van Karst Geopark, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This vast landscape boasts dramatic limestone peaks, breathtaking mountain scenery, and a rich tapestry of ethnic minority cultures.

We will make scenic stops at mountain passes, iconic landmarks, and charming ethnic minority villages. Keep your camera handy as we capture the beauty of Bac Sum Pass, climb the steps to a breathtaking viewpoint atop Fairy Mountain, and wind our way through Tham Ma Pass, Pho Cao H’mong village, the ancient town of Pho Bang, House of Pao, the residence of the Vuong family, also known as the “Palace of the H’mong King.” 

After a day filled with exploration, we will arrive in Dong Van town, check into our hotel, and unwind before enjoying dinner.

Your breakfast will be served before setting off at 8:00 AM. Today promises another awe-inspiring adventure as you delve deeper into the majestic Dong Van Karst Plateau. This unique landscape seamlessly blends geological with rich cultural heritages. Over 80% of the plateau's karst formations are composed of limestone, each shaped by different environmental conditions and evolutionary stages. 

Beyond the breathtaking scenery, encounters with the local H’mong hill tribes and their fascinating culture will surely leave a lasting impression on your trip. 

Before departing, take a short stroll through the historic Dong Van town center. Then, hop on your private transport for the spectacular 25-kilometer journey to Meo Vac District. Along the way, catch the sight of the scenery on your left - the picturesque Nho Que River nestled at the base of the Tu San Abyss. 

Your first stop will be Ma Pi Leng Pass, where a thrilling morning trek along the sky-walk path awaits. This scenic hike will be one of the highlights of your adventure. Lunch will be served at a restaurant in Pavi village.

In the afternoon, transfer to the Nho Que River ticket checkpoint. From here, take a 2-kilometer walk down steps to reach the water's edge and then board a boat for a captivating journey through Tu San Alley, renowned as one of Southeast Asia's most magnificent canyons. Afterwards, a short walk up to Tu San Rock Ledge will provide you with breathtaking panoramic views of Tu San Alley. 

Return to the main road and continue your journey to Meo Vac Town for the night.

If your arrival falls on Sunday, the heart of the town comes alive as there is a bustling weekend market. Witness not only the trade of cattle by local residents of the karst plateau, but also a gathering place for the Mong ethnic minority showcasing their domestic and farming goods. This lively scene offers a fantastic opportunity to capture captivating photos of locals  in their traditional dresses. 

Following the market’s energy, drive deeper into the geopark. The road winds its way downhill to Yen Minh, where you can savor a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before the afternoon journey back to Ha Giang City. Spend a relaxing second night.

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, embark on a full-day journey back to Hanoi. Take in the final glimpses of the Vietnamese countryside as we wind our way through the landscapes you’ve explored. Make a lunch stop along the way.
