Ba Be National Park Tour 4 days 3 nights: Jungle Trekking Adventure

Ba Be Lake is located in Bac Kan province, about 240 km northeast of Hanoi.

On your way to Ba Be, you'll stop at the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups, where you can learn about the cultures and traditions of various minority groups in Vietnam. After this visit, lunch will be served at a local restaurant before we continue our journey to Ba Be National Park.

You’ll arrive at Ba Be Lake in the early afternoon, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night with a local Tay family in their traditional wooden stilt house.

Your tour guide will take you to Coc Toc Village, where you'll meet the Tay community, known for their fishing skills and diet centered around fish. After exploring the beautiful stilt houses and this idyllic way of life, you'll cross the Pe Lu Stream and tackle some rough, steep terrain for a little workout. As you ascend, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the lush countryside.

Continuing to the uplands, we'll stop for a picnic lunch in an H'mong Village, where your guide may introduce you to some local H'mong people.

In the afternoon, you'll hike through mountains and valleys, visiting the stilt houses and school of the Dzao ethnic group. Then, we'll head to another H'mong Village, where you'll enjoy a delicious dinner at a local homestay and spend the night in a beautiful and comfortable Dzao house. Just be prepared; they can be quite generous with their corn wine!

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the homestay, you’ll have the chance to try on some traditional Dzao clothing for memorable photos before saying your goodbyes and setting out for another exciting day of trekking. Today’s trails will be slightly easier than the previous day as you visit a black H'mong Ethnic Village.

You'll then descend through a beautiful forest with stunning views on your way to Dau Dang Waterfall, located on the border of Bac Kan and Tuyen Quang provinces. After taking in the beauty of the waterfall, your guide will take you to have lunch with 'Mr. Pirate,' the main actor from the “Ba Be Lake Pirate Movie.”

Following lunch, you'll enjoy a relaxing motorboat trip up the river to explore the breathtaking Puong Cave, a massive limestone structure that spans the river and is home to thousands of bats of 18 different species that flit among the stalactites and stalagmites. You'll also visit An Ma Temple along the way.

In the evening, you’ll head to the homestay for dinner and a restful night’s sleep.

After breakfast at the homestay, you'll begin your journey back to Hanoi, but not before visiting Hua Ma Cave along the way. This cave has only recently become accessible, as few locals would enter due to ancient beliefs. According to legend, it is the resting place of many soldiers from past wars in the region, but their spirits have since been set free.

You can descend into the cave via a well-built concrete staircase to see thousands of stunning stalactites and stalagmites, creating a truly atmospheric experience. During the drive back to Hanoi, you'll have the chance to relax and will make a brief stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

You’ll arrive in Hanoi around 5:30 PM, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel.
