Starting from January 1, 2025, Cambodia will implement a reduction in fees for electronic visas (e-Visas) for both tourist (T) and ordinary (E) visa categories. This initiative aims to facilitate travel for visitors entering the country.

According to a press release dated December 28, 2024, from the Royal Government of Cambodia, the entry fee for the tourist electronic visa (e-Visa T) will decrease from USD 36 to USD 30, representing a 16.6% reduction. Similarly, the fee for the ordinary electronic visa (e-Visa E) will be reduced from USD 42 to USD 35.
The new fee structure is set to take effect on January 1, 2025, with the primary objective of making the entry process more convenient for travelers and passengers arriving in Cambodia.
In the same announcement, the Royal Government of Cambodia has instructed relevant ministries, departments, and agencies to enhance and streamline the visa issuance procedures through the electronic visa and electronic entry systems. This will be achieved by integrating these processes into a unified government ecosystem, thereby simplifying the overall experience for applicants.

Applying for a Cambodian tourist e-Visa is a convenient process that can be completed entirely online. Step 1: Access the Official e-Visa Portal
Begin by navigating to the official Cambodian e-Visa website: https://www.evisa.gov.kh
This platform is managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and is the only authorized site for e-Visa applications. Be cautious of fraudulent websites that may be shown on top of Google using sponsored, or any visa agency website can charge you a service fee.
Step 2: Start a new application
Once you reach the website, scroll down and click on the “Apply now” button or “Application” on the homepage. Enter the captcha code and you will be redirected to the application form. The form requires your detailed personal information. Remember to fill in all information matches exactly as it appears on your passport to avoid any discrepancies.

You will need to upload a recent passport-sized photograph and a scanned copy of your passport's biographical page. The photograph should be in color, taken against a white background, and without any shadows. The passport scan must be clear, showing all details legibly.
Step 3: Review/confirm the application

Step 4: Pay the Visa Fee
As the recent changes, the total fee for a Cambodia tourist e-Visa is USD 30. Payments can be made securely using a valid Visa or MasterCard. After entering your payment details, confirm the transaction. Upon successful payment, you'll receive a confirmation email containing your application reference number. This number is essential for tracking the status of your application and for any future correspondence.
You can check your application by clicking on “Check & Change” on the homepage. You have to rewrite correctly the reference number given and the email address registered in the application. Here, besides checking, you can change travel information or resubmit the payment if it failed.

Step 5: Obtain and Print Your e-Visa
The standard processing time for the e-Visa is approximately 3 business days. However, it's advisable to apply well in advance of your planned travel date to account for any unforeseen delays.
Once your application is approved, you'll receive the e-Visa via email. It's recommended to print at least two copies: one to present upon entry into Cambodia and another to keep as a backup during your travels.
The T e-Visa is valid for 3 months (90 days) from the issue date. It only allows a single entry with a maximum stay of 30 days in Cambodia. Because of this, you should apply no more than 3 months before your planned departure.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your intended entry date into Cambodia and contain at least two blank pages, which will be stamped by the immigration officer. The uploaded photograph also must be taken in the last 6 months in color, with a plain white background.
