Location and how to get there

From the center of Hanoi 

Silver Waterfall is located about 320 km northwest of Hanoi. Visitors can travel by bus, train, car, or motorbike. The most convenient vehicles are the bus and train to Sapa, then continue to the waterfall.

If tourists get to this destination by bus, you can catch a sleeper bus from My Dinh, Giap Bat or Gia Lam bus stations, it will take about 5 to 6 hours on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Highway. If you choose a train, you can take a night train from Hanoi station to Lao Cai station, and it will take about 8 hours, then take a bus or a taxi to Sapa

For holiday-makers who like to travel by motorbike, you can follow the direction of National Highway 32 or the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Highway, which will be an interesting choice. However, you need careful preparation for a long trip.

From the town center of Sapa

The waterfall is about 12 km to the west of Sa Pa town center. Visitors can get there by motorbikes, taxis, or buses. 

If you go by motorbike, you can rent a motorbike in Sapa town, and you need to pay 100,000 VND to 150,000 VND per day, then follow the direction of National Highway 4D towards O Quy Ho Pass. This journey takes about 30 minutes with many winding bends, but in return, you can admire the magnificent natural landscape along the way. 

In addition, if you do not want to drive yourself, you can book a taxi and pay about 150,000 VND to 200,000 VND per trip or take a bus on the Sapa - Lai Chau route with a ticket price of only 30,000 VND per trip.

History 

This waterfall has existed for thousands of years. This is a precious gift that nature gives Sapa. According to some mythical stories, this place is where the fairies come to bathe, creating a sparkling silver stream reflecting the sunlight. 

In the previous days, this waterfall was also a stopover for many merchant groups on the trade route between Sapa and Lai Chau. For the time being, Silver Waterfall is not only a famous scenic spot but also a place for scientists to study the natural ecosystem.

Visitors can come to the fall at any time in a year, but the most ideal time to visit this attraction is from March to May, and from September to November. 

In spring, the trees sprout, creating a fresh and green scenery. Meanwhile, autumn brings a romantic beauty with light fog covering, you can see a fascinating natural picture. In summer, the waterfall has the largest water flow, the strong water flow makes a majestic scene.
