Route May Bau Peak – Quan Y Cave
Depart from the center of the National Park and hike for about 2 kilometers to reach May Bau Peak. From there, visitors can admire a thousand-year-old banyan tree with a unique shape.
Continuing hiking for about another 9 kilometers along the trail, visitors will reach Quan Y Cave. This place once served as a field hospital, treating wounded soldiers during the war years of 1963 - 1965. The cave entrances were fortified with iron doors to withstand bombs.

Route Frog Pond – Viet Hai Village
This is the largest freshwater lake on Cat Ba Island. It’s home to many species of frogs, toads, and newts. Standing here, you will encounter different kinds of frogs and hear them croaking endlessly.
Afterward, continue walking through the forest for about 9 km to reach Viet Hai Village. This is the end of the journey in Cat Ba National Park trekking route. The village is surrounded by massive limestone mountains and a long beach. You can immerse in the lives of the local fishermen here.
