Welcome to our East Malaysia Tour 7 days: Wild Borneo adventure!
With its dense rainforests, tropical coastal islands and mysterious jungle valleys, Borneo is a rare destination these days. It’s a place where you can still encounter nature in its truest form, with a rich variety of colourful and endangered wildlife amidst amazing natural scenery. This trip to the Malaysian state of Sabah and Sarawak takes you face to face with many unique species, including orangutans, proboscis monkeys and hornbills.

Itinerary
Upon arrival at the airport pick up and transfer you to your hotel. The remaining time would be your own pleasure to explore your surroundings after your journey to stretch your legs a bit. Overnight in Kota Kindabalu
Exploring lush nature Borneo would not be complete without seeing the orangutans as you travel to Sandakan. Here you have chance to witness how the baby orangutans being fed. In the afternoon continue to discover Rainforest Discovery Centre, one of the state's most popular environmental education centers in the region. Take a stroll through the jungle or walk along the 147- meter long canopy walkway and enjoy a spectacular view of the beautiful rainforest - 28 meters above ground. Look for lizards and birds scattered across the forest’s ground and skies. For flora lovers, you might be interested with 250 species of native orchids in bloom.
After breakfast we leave Sandakan today for Sukau for around 3 hours’ drive. We embark an afternoon cruise through Sukau on its stunning river with the opportunity to view wildlife and birds. Spend your night at eco-lodge Sukau Rainforest Lodge
Rise early for another early morning cruise up the Kinabatanga River to the beautiful Kelenanap Oxbow Lake. Look for for bird watching and in search of other wildlife. Take a short jungle walk (if weather permits) and experience the wilderness of Borneo before returning to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, proceed for an educational tour along the lodge's Hornbill Boardwalk with our in-house naturalist. Stay overnight at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge.
Take either a 4.5-hour-long drive through Lahad Datu - a beautiful, rustic environmental area - or an early morning helicopter ride to reach the Danum Valley. This valley is blessed with a startling diversity of tropical flora and fauna. This vast Eden-like basin is home to the rare Sumatran Rhinoceros, orang utans, gibbons, mousedeer and the beautiful clouded leopard. Some 270 species of birds have been recorded in the area. The Danum Field Research Centre is located within the confines of the 440sq km forest reserve. It also boasts one of the first eco-resorts in Sabah, known as the Borneo Rainforest Lodge. It is also where you spend the rest of your time for your overnight and relaxing.
You spend your whole day for strolling through the Danum Valley. Stop to visit Danum Valley Field center. And the rest of day for exploring the birds and mammals, leading up to an escarpment with ancient burial coffins. Trek to a waterfall for refreshing dip in rock pools. In the afternoon, explore more trails leading to canopy walkway. Return to the Borneo Rainforest Lodge for your final night before your journey home.
Say good bye to the lodge and bring with you your good memories of time spending in this unseen area before travel back to Kota Kinabalu. Here you can catch your flight to next destination
