Known as the 'Living Museum', the Cultural Village was set up to preserve and showcase Sarawak's cultural heritage. View traditional life as the village and its 150 inhabitants continue life as if time were stood still. There are lots of traditional daily activities from Sarawak's diverse tribes like the processing of sago and the making of handicrafts. They wear traditional costumes and also put on dances for visitors. We then continue to the quirky Cat Statues and finally the Ethnology Museum, which contains a rich collection of indigenous cultures. Overnight at the hotel
After breakfast we continue our journey today to explore Kuching. Beginning with discover Borneo’s ancient way of life as you visit Anah Rais, a traditional village welcoming to outsiders. A holiday in Sarawak is not complete without a visit to the Bidayuh longhouses that are the traditional dwellings of many of the natives here such as the Iban, Bidayuh and Orang Ulu. The villagers don’t pay special mind to the tourists and actually go about their everyday lives. It’s a fascinating combination of traditional life and modern times. Return to your hotel for your overnight
Depart from your hotel towards Batang Ai National Park for 3-4 hours’ drive and then a boat ride to reach the village (1, 5 hours). The park is known to have the highest orangutan population density in Central Borneo. Upon arrival we check-in your longhouse, traditional Iban longhouse and discovery of the daily life and activities of the village. Dinner and overnight in the longhouse

Today we travel back to Kuching and catch a short flight to Miri. Check-in at your hotel for your overnight
A well worth journey today taking you to Bario, a peaceful village located in the heart of the Kelabit Highlands in the north east of Sarawak. It is almost sharing international borders with the Indonesian Kalimantan, and is about 3280 feet above sea level. It is the main settlement in the Kelabit Highlands. Here, there are few roads, the area is at a high elevation, and the river has high rapids - these barriers prevent many from making the journey here, and thus, the tribe remains relatively unaffected by the rapidly-evolving outside world. The tribes are very welcoming to new people. You will gain a rare cultural insight not available to many travelers. Stay with the local people in a homestay and have chance to taste the local dishes
After breakfast we will take 20 minutes’ drive to Pa Umor. From here we will do our 30 minutes hiking to the salt spring. Have a chance to witness how the spring water containing brine is boiled until all water is evaporated. Bario salt is considered an organic salt, which is rich in natural minerals. Lunch will be served before we head to see the remnants of the megalithic culture once practiced by the Kelabit tribes. There are hundreds of ancient stone artifacts to be found throughout the Northern highlands of Sarawak, which were incised, carved, erected or arranged to become impressive rock monuments. We visit the Batu Narit Arur Bilit and Batu Ipak Upai Semaring. Transfer back to our lodge for your dinner and conversation with your hosts
