Ta Chi Nhu Tour 3-Day: Mountain Trekking & Summit Experience

Travel from Hanoi to Tram Tau in Yen Bai province, where the adventure begins. Upon arrival, settle in and prepare for the trek while enjoying the local scenery.

Start your day early, preparing your day bag. After breakfast at a local restaurant in Tram Tau town, you’ll be transferred by bus (about 30 minutes) to the hiking starting point, located around 12km from the town center at the base of Ta Chi Nhu Mountain. Upon arrival, you'll meet the local team, including your guide and porter, before beginning the trek.

The trek begins around 9:00 AM, starting with the first set of slopes. You'll have a picnic lunch around noon, and continue your ascent. By 4:00 PM, you’ll reach the campsite at 2400 meters altitude, where you can take in the peaceful mountain scenery while the porters prepare dinner. You’re welcome to join in the meal preparation if you'd like.

The night will be spent in an airtight wooden shack, with warm blankets and insulated mats available upon request (please reserve in advance).

Wake up early to a light breakfast with a cup of coffee or hot tea, and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Get ready for the final stretch to the summit of Ta Chi Nhu. You can leave your belongings at the campsite before starting your ascent. By around 7:00 AM, you’ll reach the peak of Ta Chi Nhu. Take your time to capture the breathtaking views and enjoy the scenery at the top.

After spending some time at the summit, hike back down to the campsite, collect your belongings, and begin your descent.

Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way down the mountain, with an expected arrival at the base of the mountain by 3:30 PM. Once there, you'll be picked up by our driver and transferred back to Tram Tau. You’ll have time to take a short shower or relax in the Tram Tau Hot Springs (optional), before enjoying dinner. From there, you’ll be driven back to Hanoi, marking the end of your trip.
