Preah Vihear Tour 5 days: Cambodia Adventure
Overview
Welcome to our Preah Vihear Tour 5 days: Cambodia Adventure!
Preah Vihear is also one of the least populated provinces in the Kingdom of Cambodia so if you want to explore Cambodia in a unique way, Preah Vihear is an ideal destination. It is quite a big northern province of Cambodia. The province itself is named after the temple of Prasat Preah Vihear, which is definitely the hotspot of this province. Much of the province is extremely remote and strongly forested. In this Preah Vihear Tour 5 days: Cambodia Adventure, we will have the chance to visit the beautiful temples and historical sites, access the mountainous area, and admire the spectacular landscape on the way.
TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
- Visit the beautiful ancient temples
- Take a boat trip to view the Mekong dolphins
- Conquer the top of Phnom Dangrek Mountain Range by 4WD vehicles.
- Explore the historical sites such as Ta Moks House and Pol Pot’s quarter

Upon arrival, we’ll visit the Preah Khan temple, which was built in 1191 during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. A stupa or the shrine at Preah Khan temple is a mound like or hemispherical structure containing relics typically the remains of Buddhist monks or nuns and used as a place of meditation. A visit to this temple will not only bring you into contact with an archaeological site built during the ancient Khmer Empire, but an area of military confrontation as a result of on-going border tensions. From there, you can see both Cambodia and Thailand. In the late afternoon, we’ll return to Saem for dinner and spend the night in a hotel.
