Itinerary
On arrival at the airport, meet and transfer to hotel for check-in or dropping off your luggage. The capital city of Phnom Penh was once considered the loveliest city of Indochina. Set out on a city tour to visit the Royal Place built in 1866 by King Norodom; are now home to the royal family. At the northern area of the palace grounds is Silver Pagoda, the most sacred shrine in the country. This monument was named because of its floor which is made up of 5000 silvers tiles. We then continue to a visit to Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles and located within the Royal Palace compound, and visit Tuol Sleng Museum, a reminder of the Khmer Rouge regime.

Breakfast at hotel then say goodbye to the capital city Phnom Penh and head to the sleepy town of Kratie through beautiful scenery, remote villages and rice paddy fields. The journey takes about 5 hours. Upon arrival in Kratie you will have lunch (own account)
Afternoon, we will take a 36km drive to visit 100 columns pagoda. The special feature of the 100 column pagoda is that the 100-column pagoda was built on the place where the Royal Palace temple of Sam Phu Borak Capital of the Chen La time located and there are four-Buddhist temples facing to different directions in the area. When the sun goes down, we will move to Prek Kampi where we will take a local boat to view and observe the rare freshwater Irrawaddy Dolphins on the Mekong River. Return to the city and take a public local boat crossing the River to the peacefully island of Koh Trong for overnight.

After breakfast, we will take a soft adventure tour by bike to explore this peaceful island, you can interact with the local through our tour guide, learn how they make a living and the education will be provided to the villager. Check-out from the hotel and take the local boat back to the mainland. Lunch is on your own account.
Transfer to the Sen Monorom, the provincial city of Mondulkiri, with approximately 4 hours. Check-in and overnight at the hotel.

8.30am: All guests meet at Sen Monorom: Introductions and transportation up from your guesthouse.
8.45am – 9.00am: Drive to the starting point of the tour which offers fabulous views over the large area of forest the Project is trying to protect.
9.00am-12.00pm: Walk from the hilltop down into the jungle valley to the Bunong Elephant Project’s jungle hut where your guide, Mr Torn, explains about the Bunong Elephant Project. Next it is time to meet the elephants and their *Mahouts. You’re welcome to take lots of photos, get close to the elephants and have fun feeding them bananas. Follow and watch as the elephants walk through the jungle eating bamboo, grass and plants, and generally enjoy themselves.
12.00pm – 2.00pm: After walking back to the Jungle Hut it is time for lunch and relaxing by the river. The Hut has great views of the jungle valley and is a great place to view many species of birds.
2.00pm – 3:30pm: In the afternoon we return to the forest to find the elephants still eating lunch. Next the mahout slowly walks the elephants to the river for their wash. Elephants really enjoy having a bath – so it’s extremely good fun helping to wash the elephants, which helps to keep their skin clean and healthy.
3:30pm – 4:30pm: After saying goodbye to the elephants we walk back out of the jungle to our starting point for the short drive back to Sen Monorom.
Mahouts: In South and SE Asia a person who works with and rides an elephant.
Additional information
Bunong Jungle Guide: Please note that whilst our native Guides are very knowledgeable and skilful in the Jungle, their first language is Bunong. Other language skills are limited, but overall this does add to the “cultural experience” of this tour!
What to bring: Light, long sleeved clothing to wear during the day, warm clothing for the night, swimming clothes, towel, a hat and sun protection, insect repellent, rain coat.

Early morning, visit the local market where many of the Phnong people from the nearby villages are coming to trade with their distinctive baskets they carry on their back. We will then take a 1-hour drive to visit the most beautiful waterfall in the area, Bou Sra Waterfall. The waterfall is divided into three stages (First Stage: The waterfall fall is 8 to 12 meters high and 15 meters wide in rainy season and 10 to 15 meters wide in dry season. Second Stage: The waterfall fall is 15 to 20 meters high and 20 meters wide in rainy season and 18 to 25 meters high and 13 meters wide in dry season. The second stage is 150 meters from the first stage. Third Stage: The speed of waterfall is faster than the second stage. This stage cannot be reached because it is in the thick forest. There are no marked paths and dangerous wildlife inhabits the area). We will spend a good amount of time to enjoy the waterfall and its beauty.
Lunch at the waterfall (own account) then transfer directly to Banlung, the provincial city of Ratanakiri. Arriving in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel and overnight.

At 08h00, we will leave our hotel and travel by car /or tuk tuk to a small tribal village 30 minutes away where we will begin our trekking into the jungle, crossing a few small streams and hills. We will reach a jungle scenic creek with rapids and a cascading waterfall. Enjoy a swim in the clear water before having lunch as a picnic.
We will then trek back to the starting point via a different jungle route through the hills. During the trek, our guide local trek through the hills via a different route back through the jungle to the village starting point, then return to Banlung.

This itinerary is written based on our research expeditions and it is not a detailed hour by hour description. Please kindly read to get a good expression and expect to see during the tour. We have the right to change parts, or divert the route of the trek due to extreme weather and terrain conditions for your safety and /or in order to follow guidelines of the indigenous rangers without any prior notice.

There are several local waterfalls, and they are best seen during the rainy season when the water volume is at its highest and the vegetation is lush and green.
Visit Cha Ong is the most toured waterfall in the area, and is 18 meters high. The rock area behind the waterfall has been eroded away over the centuries by the waterfall, thus allowing you to walk behind the fall. Continue to Kan Chang is another fall, this one approximately 7 meters in height. It empties into a large pool in which it is possible to swim. Return to the city for lunch (own account). Late afternoon, we will spend a good time at a naturally beautiful lake of Yak Loam, located approximately 5km from Banlung. This beautiful lake occupies a 4,000-year-old volcanic crater. Due to the lake’s tremendous depth 48 m, its water is exceptionally clean and clear. The lake is almost perfectly round and measures 0.72 km in diameter. Large trees and rich, lush rain forest, the home of many exotic birds and parrots, surround the lake. Return to the hotel for relaxing and overnight.

After breakfast, say goodbye to Ratanakiri and heading out to Stung Treng for a 2-hour drive. Arrival, we can take a scroll along the riverside and wandering around the small city of Stung Treng.

Afternoon, continue our journey with 3 hours and a half to Preah Vihear province. Arrival, check-in at your hotel and free the remainder of the day to enjoy the swimming pool.
Preah Vihear is quite, a big northern province of Cambodia. The province itself is named after the temple of Prasat Preah Vihear, what is definitely the hotspot of this province. Much of the province is extremely remote and strongly forested.

Breakfast at hotel. We will leave the hotel early than normal to ensure we will get the best possible experience at the temple before the crowd. We will be arriving at the mountain foot after around 30 minute driving. Exchanging the car and driving up to the peak of the mountain where the beautiful ruin of Preah Vihear temple is located. The Temple of Preah Vihear, a unique architectural complex of a series of sanctuaries linked by a system of pavements and staircases on an 800 metre long axis, is an outstanding masterpiece of Khmer architecture, in terms of plan, decoration and relationship to the spectacular landscape environment. Preah Vihear is an outstanding masterpiece of Khmer architecture. It is very ‘pure’ both in plan and in the detail of its decoration. Down the hill and lunch at a local restaurant (own account). Transfer towards Siem Reap city, the gateway of Angkor Temples, for the hotel check-in and overnight.

The best way to visit the temple is by bicycle as you can explore its surrounding and the temple in a closer way than the other. This cycling tour will lead through a paved jungle route from the back of the mysterious city of Angkor Thom.
We will leave the hotel at 8am and start cycling to the West Gate of Angkor Thom City and ride on the main walls of Angkor Thom to Southgate and dead gate. Visit to Bayon, Baphuon, Royal Enclosure, Terrace of Lapper King and Terrace of Elephant and continue to Ta Nei and Ta Prohm through the jungle loop. Lunch at a local restaurant (meal only without drink). Ride to Angkor Wat the main religious temple before heading onward into town.
