Overview
The combined circuit between trekking in the mountains and seaside stays always offers travelers extraordinary experiences. This circuit allows travelers to make a route from the center to the south through major cities like Siem Reap, Kampong Chhnang, Phnom Penh and Kampot, also the last stopping point. In Siem Reap, they can discover historical and respectful sites: Angkor Thom and its south gate, Bayon temple, Angkor Wat, temples of Ta Nei, Ta Prohm and Banteay Kdei .... Then, Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, is worth seeing with the admiration of the architecture of the main destinations to, such as Wat Phnom, the royal palace, the silver pagoda or the national museum. Between the big cities, travelers have the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside with beautiful landscapes of rice fields and traditional Khmer houses. The trip will be completed in Kampot, the bustle of this coastal city always helps everyone to eliminate daily fatigue.

Itinerary

Siem Reap arrival (No cycling)
On arrival at Siem Reap International airport, meet and transfer by our local biking guide to hotel for check-in (Early check-in is NOT included and subject to hotel’s availability).  Free at leisure and welcome dinner at local restaurant. 
 

Siem Reap - Angkor Complex (B, L) (Cycling distance: 45km)
After breakfast at the hotel, today you will have a great day cycling along the back road and small path in the jungle to visit all the main temples of Angkor. Visit Angkor Wat temple with East Gate
Recognized as World’s Heritage Site, Angkor Complex was the largest and also the most important archaeologist sites in Southeast Asia. Stretching over 400 km2, including forested area, Angkor Complex contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century. The Complex comprises numerous monuments in Khmer architecture which is naturalistic, complicated and full of symbols.
We then continue our cycling further in jungle to visit Banteay Kdei and Ta Prohm temples which is nearly disappeared in jungle and seems to be abandoned with many ruins and surrounded tropical forests. It was a monastery and a Mahayanist Buddhism School, constructed by the king Khmer Jayavarman VII in late 12th century and early 13th century in Bayon architecture style
Lunch in local Khmer Wooden House
After lunch you continue to visit to Preah Khan temple by the bushy back-road and also Angkor Thom City, Bayon temple before return to Siem Reap.

Beng Melea, Chau Chrei Vibol (B, L) (Cycling distance: 90km)
Wake up quite early today and depart at 7:00 AM for an introductory cycle through the rice paddies, villages and countryside to the land of history and culture reminding you thousands year back how the lives were like. Continue cycling though to Phnom Bok. Explore the surroundings and discover old canons and other war remnants that may remind you of Cambodia’s turbulent past. Ride through paddy fields, local villages to Beng Melea. Constructed in a distinctly Angkor Wat architecture by King Suyavarman II in the early 12th century, Beng Mealea might be considered as a prototype for Angkor Wat. It quitely collapsed after war, but can be seen as monumental as Angkor Wat. This also is the burial ground of King Suryavarman II. Return to Siem Reap by supporting vehicles.
 

Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake and Kayaking (B, L) (Cycling: 65km)
It is a new route which is designed very special for any of cyclers who wish to cycle throughout the un-touched villages near Angkor Wat to learn the real culture of Cambodian people living in the peaceful way and beautiful scenery of countryside.     
7AM: Start cycling on the back road of Angkor Thom City to West Baray, visit the daily activities of local handicraft and works.
Continue to cycle further in the rural village to reach to Tonle Sap Lake where you will embark on the local boat cruising to floating village and enjoy the home-hosted lunch on the lake.
After lunch you’ll continue on a journey witnessing the daily lifestyles of the local people on water. Here you will board a quaint local boat which will cruise through to the amazing floating village and mangroves for your unique kayaking experience. Gently kayaking through the open lake and turn into the exotic mangroves/flooded forest seeing rare birds in this tranquil setting giving you a once in a lifetime experience leaving you with ever lasting memories before transferring back by boat to the pier and transfer by van back to Siem Reap town.
 

Siem Reap - Phnom Penh City (B) (Cycling: no cycling)
Breakfast is at the hotel. Transfer 5-6 hours by vehicle to Phnom Penh WITHOUT guide. Arrive in Phnom Penh and check in at your hotel.
In the afternoon we will visit National Museum, which was built in 1917 and completed in 1920 by French colonial government with the mixture in architecture: French and Khmer.. It is top of the museums of archaeology and literature in Cambodia. The museum intends to be faint by Angkor Heritage Site Complex and those related in SeamReap, but there is a biggest stored and display place of Khmer artistic and religious collections in the world.
We continue to visit Royal Palace, a complex of buildings built in 1866 where the Kings of Kingdom of Cambodia lived, except for the period that Cambodia was under of Khmer Rouge ruling. It was used to serve the Kings and their families, even foreign guests with accommodation. It was also a place to hold the meetings, diplomatic ceremonies and royal events. The architecture complex of Royal Palace has been a symbol of Kingdom of Cambodia. We will finish the city tour by visiting Silver Pagoda, the included construction in Royal Palace complex. Being an important and famous pagoda in Cambodia, Silver Pagoda has more than 5000 handmade pieces of silver paved on the floor. There is a place of cultural and religious precious objects storing, more than its worshipping function.
 

Phnom Penh – Kirirom & Homestay (B, L, D) (Cycling: 20km)
Breakfast served at the hotel, early morning you will be transferred by private vehicle to Kirirom Mountain which is 120km from Phnom Penh. On arrival, you will cycle along the pine tree and jungle, enjoy swimming in the waterfall and lunch will be provided on the site. After lunch you are transferred to Cham Bok Eco Tourism Based Village where you will have dinner and overnight in the village with local families.
 

Kirirom – Ta Keo (B, L) (Cycling: 85km)
Breakfast in the village which arranged by the local community, transfer from the village to the next ride point. After warming up, you will start to cycle along the unpaved road with nice scenery of countryside and rice paddies, lunch at local house and continue to ride to Ta Keo province, a small town that is truly Cambodian in any sense. A long riding day with 75km we have to cover with a combination of smooth paved road and slightly for overnight.
 

Ta Keo – Phnom Da – Kep (B, L) (Cycling: 85km)
Breakfast at local restaurant; take the boat ride to visit to the Phnom Da Temple, Museum of Angkor Borei, Asram Maharosei (Trip for 3 hours). Return to Ta Keo and continue your cycle tour to Kep of 55km the remainder of the road you will catch up the van and proceed to Kep                                                       
 

Kep – Rabbit Island – Kep (B, L) (Cycling: 35km)
Breakfast at the hotel, today you will cycle to visit the remote villages in countryside, visit the pepper plantation and also visit to Phnom Vor which was the last Pol Pot base in southern part of Cambodia. Return to Kep for lunch and embark on local boat to visit and relax on Rabbit Island until evening return to Kep for overnight.
 

Kep – Kampot (B, L) (Cycling: 35km)
Breakfast at the hotel and cycle to Kampot province, en route you’ll visit to salt field and daily activities of the villagers in the countryside. Lunch in Kampot, after lunch you continue to ride the bikes along the river to embark on local boat to cruise view nice nature and sunset.
 

Kampot – Bok Kor Mountain (Cycling: 65km – Ride up to the top of the Bokor Hill) (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel, today it will be the most challenged for you as you will ride the bikes from Kampot to Bokor Hill. If someone cannot afford this hard riding, jump into the support van instead. On arrival on the top of the hill visit to Waterfall area, local pagoda and old casino, lunch on site. And return to Kampong by support van.
