From here, choose between a jungle trek to Ban Muang Keo or a short boat ride for a relaxed visit. In the village, discover the art of distilling Lao-Lao, Laos' traditional rice whiskey, guided by Miss Somechan Khonpachith, who will share her expertise and offer a tasting.

After breakfast, visit a local hill tribe village in the Pak Tha area, gaining insight into their unique way of life. Back on board, enjoy the final leg of your river cruise, taking in the stunning scenery as you approach the Thailand–Laos border.

Arrive in Huay Xay, a bustling trade hub in Bokeo province, where ‘Bokeo’ means ‘sapphire,’ reflecting the region’s rich heritage. Explore the lively market and visit a peaceful temple overlooking the Mekong. If time permits, we may cross into Thailand via the Thai/Lao Friendship Bridge.

In the evening, celebrate this unforgettable journey with a special farewell dinner on the Mekong.

After breakfast, bid farewell to the Laotian crew and disembark in Chiang Khong. From there, journey to the legendary Golden Triangle, once infamous but now rich in history and intrigue.

Your guided tour includes a visit to the majestic Golden Buddha of Sop Ruak and the Hall of Opium, a museum offering deep insights into the opium trade’s history and impact.

Afterward, transfer to Chiang Rai, where you’ll be dropped off at either the airport or your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable journey.
