In the morning, you will embark on board from Bhamo jetty. Bhamo was an important trading port just 50 miles away from the Chinese border. Cast off & sail down to Shwegu, that you will reach in late afternoon. Dinner and night on board near Kyung Daw, opposite side of Shwegu.

After the breakfast, you will arrive at Katha, famous for being the setting of George Orwell’s book « Burmese Days », the author serving in the Indian Imperial Police here from 1926 to 1927. Explore Elephant Logging if time is permitted. You will cruise further South towards Thanpayar. Dinner and night on board.

Breakfast and lunch on board. You will then arrive in Htigyaing. Once on the land, you will climb the Hill of the pagoda where you will enjoy breathtaking sceneries of the Irrawaddy River. Back on board, dinner and night near Tagaung.

Breakfast and lunch on board. Visit of Tagaung, where you will discover the archaeological area, the fortifications, ans other famous nat or spirit shrines. Back on board, from the deckchairs of the upper deck you will observe fishermen collecting their nets, and other scenes from the daily life of Irrawaddy River. Dinner and night on board near Thabeikkyin village.
