The Plain of Jars is a megalithic archaeological landscape in Laos. It consists of thousands of stone jars scattered throughout the highland valleys and foothills below the central plain of the Xieng Khouang province , about 250 km southeast of Luang Prabang and about 350 kilometers north of the capital, Vientiane.
