The best time to visit Oudomxay

Oudomxay province has a tropical monsoon climate, divided into the rainy and dry seasons. The rainy season lasts from May to October, with sudden showers. However, this is also the time when the natural scenery is most beautiful.

The dry season is from November to April, with cool weather and light sunshine, ideal for outdoor activities. However, during this time, river and stream water levels may be lower, affecting visits to some sites.

Depending on your preferences, you can choose the best time for your trip. If you prioritize natural scenery, the rainy season is a good choice. If you enjoy outdoor activities and exploring caves, the dry season is ideal.
