Lam Dong area has been inhabited for a long time by the Co Ho, Ma, Rac Lay, Chu Ru communities... They mainly lived by shifting cultivation. In 1899, the French colonial government named this place as Dong Nai Thuong Province. During the development process, Lam Dong used to have names such as Di Linh, Lam Vien, Tuyen Duc. The current Lam Dong boundary was established in 1976.

Located in an area affected by the tropical monsoon climate that varies with altitude, Lam Dong's climate is cool all year round and the temperature usually fluctuates between 18-25ºC, so you can come to this place at any free time, the best is during the hot days in Saigon, you can come to Lam Dong for a vacation.

In October, you can go to Da Lat to see the fog and hunt for clouds. After the rainy season gradually ends, this is the time when you will easily encounter clouds in Da Lat. The end of the year around November is the season of wild sunflowers blooming, in many places in Bao Loc, Da Lat you can find patches of bright yellow wild sunflowers on both sides of the road.

From Saigon, you travel along Expressway 01 Long Thanh - Dau Giay to the end, then you turn to National Highway 20, a route that runs through many localities in Lam Dong and connects directly to Da Lat.

With motorbikes, you need to choose the national highways to travel because you cannot move onto the expressway. From Saigon, just follow National Highway 1A to Dau Giay post office, you will reach the starting point of National Highway 20.
If you want to save travel time, flying is the best choice. There are daily flights to Da Lat from big cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Can Tho, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hue, Phu Quoc, etc. From Lien Khuong Airport, you can call a taxi or book a private car.
