Ba Den Mountain is an extinct volcano located in the center of Tay Ninh Province
During the Nguyen Dynasty, Ly Thien - the governor of Trang Bang Town and his wife Dang Ngoc Phung had a daughter named Ly Thi Thien Huong. While going up the mountain to visit the pagoda, she was unfortunately bullied by thugs and was saved by Le Si Triet.
Thien Huong's parents, who were impressed by Le's exceptional talent, made a vow to wed her to Si Triet. But Fate is determined! While waiting for Si Triet to return from joining the army to fight Tay Son, Thien Huong was surrounded by bad guys and attempted to rape her.
Ba Den Mountain and the thrilling story of a virtuous, epiphany girl
Thien Huong jumped into Tuyet Tu mountain's ravine to keep her virtue to her fiance intact. Thien Huong's soul appeared in a dream to the abbot of the mountain temple in a dark black figure. People began to call her Ba Den and built a shrine to comfort the beautiful, well-mannered, short-lived lady's spirit.

Constructed from 170 tons of red copper with a height of 72 meters, the Tay Bo Da Son Buddha statue on top of Ba Den Mountain is the tallest in Southeast Asia.
Tay Bo Da Son Buddha statue has a compassionate face and wears a crown engraved with the image of Amitabha Buddha. The right hand is raised in the Karana Mudra to seek liberation from the shackles of karma and the left hand holds the vase of nectar.
In a place where natural energy is harmonious like Tay Ninh Province, the presence of the Buddha statue of Tay Bo Da Son seems to strengthen the belief in the "spiritual mountain", a symbol of wisdom, altruism and encouragement of Buddhists to live towards goodness.

In the early days, this place was just a small temple worshiping Goddess Mother Linh Son. After more than 300 years, it has become a spiritual gathering place frequented by Buddhists from all over.
The pagoda possesses a traditional design like many other ancient temples and pagodas in the South, using yellow paint and orange-red bricks and tiles as the main materials. The roof is tapered into many corners, delicately carved with multi-meaning symbols in Buddhism.
Ba Den is worshiped in a stone cave about 5 square meters wide. Legend has it that when Lord Nguyen Anh was defeated in the war with the Tay Son army, Goddess Mother Linh Son appeared in a dream to help him and his soldiers.

Located at the foot of the mountain, Linh Son Phuoc Trung Tu used to be the place where the Conference on Building the Resistance Against the French and the Agricultural Conference of Tay Ninh Province took place since 1946.
Visitors can feel the tranquility when walking through the purple-colored trail of linden flowers, enjoying the cool air under an ancient Bodhi tree or leaning against a stone bench and looking at the rolling hills and mountains.
