Here you will see ancient walls, church ruins and other remains of the Spanish Conquistadores. Travel through the cobbled streets to San Agustin Church, the oldest stone church in the country.

The Heritage Village is known for its well-preserved old stone houses made from hard adobe stones. The spacious interior of these houses showcases hand-crafted period furniture and accessories. Make a stop at Cape Bojeador which is the highest elevated, still original, and active lighthouse in the country built during the Spanish occupation. Witness the breath‐taking view of the town by the sea where early galleons used to pass by. Head further down south to Laoag City and visit St. Williams Cathedral and the Sinking Bell Tower. First built in 1612, the church is known for its Italian Renaissance design. Cross over to Mactan Island and proceed to the Church of our Lady of the Rule, a national shrine visited by many who attribute Mactan’s economic success to her devotion.
Next, visit a guitar factory to see how renowned Philippine guitars are made. The final stop is the Liberty Shrine, erected on the battlefield where Magellan met his defeat at the hands of the chieftain of Mactan, Datu Lapu-Lapu.
