This Laos Thailand Tour 11 days: Central Discovery combines a trip to Northern Thailand with neighboring country Laos. We first explore the diverse country of Laos with emerald rice paddies, magnificent waterfalls and ancient temples and then continue to Thailand with bustling Bangkok & magical places surrounding. Itinerary
Arriving at Wattay International Airport , after clearing immigration and customs, you will be welcomed and transferred to a hotel in the city center by private car.
Check in hotel and have a short rest.
In the afternoon, we will first visit the oldest Wat Sisaket which is not the only temple that was destroyed during the invasion of the Siamese army and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. We then discover a national symbol of Laos - That Luang Stupa or the Great Stupa which is coverd with gold.
The last sights would be Patuxay Monument which is famous for Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.
In the evening, we will have chance to experience the Lao Culture by enjoying the traditional dance & folk song when dinner is served.

We leave the city in the early morning for our journey to the Northern; we will see some stunning landscape on the way as we pass through beautiful countryside towards the mountainous region.
Along the way, we will experience the colorful market of KM52 where local people come to trade goods and buy provisions.
We may stop to take a photo at Hin Heup bridge, and the fish market in Ban Tha Heua. We reach our destination Vang Vieng which lies on the Nam Song River with the limstone hill landscape surrounding the town.
In the afternoon, we continue our trip by passing through paddy field areas heading to Tham Phoukham caves which is located to the northeast of the village of Ban Na Thong . On the way, you will experience the local cultures by greeting the local people and learning about their daily lifestyle. There is a small natural pool named Blue Lagoon in front of the caves where you can take a swim and relax by yourself or you could explore the nearby area.
Return to town, we will take the leisurely boat along the Namsong River while enjoying the sun setting behind the mountains.

We get up a bit early to walk around the town and visit the local market to have a closer look at daily life in a typical Lao rural area.
After breakfast, we head to the southwest of Vang Vieng to visit the cave of Tham Jang, which is famous for being used in defense against the Chinese invaders in the early 19th century.We transfer to visit Ban Phathau village where we could experience different local lifestyles.
Then we make our way to Luang Prabang which is considered as the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia.
we go through some stunning landscape scenery with rice terraced fields and moutainous villages, we should miss to have a few photo when stopping at some small hill tribe village on the way.
We also have chance to enjoy the panoramic view over the surrounding area at the peak of over 2000m. We may make a short stop to visit the local school at Ban Nasala before reaching Luang Prabang.

Today, our guide will pick up you at hotel in Luang Prabang city and start our trip to Living Land Lao Organic Farm at Phoung Van village. Upon arrival, the farm owner will give us introduction in briefs about the tradition and activity of the farm. You will have chance to experience the real activities and life of a Lao farmer.
You will feel how hard to grow the rice when you try to do all the activities such as ploughing, seeding, manuring, until reaping the harvest. Moreover, you will never regret to learn and realize many type of vegetable by visiting the garden and our guide will kindly help and teach you well. Learning all those things for the first time could be a real interesting experience.
After lunch, we will reach one of the most beautiful Kuang Si Falls situated 30 kilometers of Southern Luang Prabang. The Kuang Si Waterfall consists of a tiered many of turquoise pools put amongst the dense Laotian jungle where we will have plenty of time to refreshing swim in the pools and hike around the falls.
You’ll also visit the Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park, one of the must-visit spots, a project that was newly opened on January 2014 studying about Lao butterflies, host plants and preservation.
We stop at one of the local villages before getting to Wat Siphouthabath to admire the sunset then find the way back to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Luang Prabang.

After breakfast, crossing the Mekong River, you start a walk along the village Ban Xienmienne. You can observe the life of the people and chat with them. Then, you continue to visit the temple of Wat Chompet which is located on a hill, climb the 123 steps to reach it.
After visiting Wat Chompet, go down the hill and go to the pier. Then, we take a local boat on Mekong River in 2 hours to reach the best famous and spiritual Pak Ou Buddha Caves, where we could have a look at confluence of the Mekong & Ou Rivers. Since the 16 century, the villagers built many thousands of Buddha images here.
After visiting, lunch at a local restaurant in front of the cave. Then, you will cruise back to Luang Prabang. On the way, you will stop at Ban Xang Hai, a famous village for its traditional Lao rice whisky production and Ban Xang khong, a village well-known for its wood paper making and also Lao silk weavings with natural dyes.

Morning pick up at your hotel and then transfer you to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival pick up and transfer you to your hotel for your overnight.
After breakfast, we visit the Grand Royal Palace dedicated to the ceremony of the royal family of Thailand. In the same compound is the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew which is known for the Statue of the Emerald Buddha. After visiting this complex, we continue to visit Wat Pho, a giant house of the lying Buddha.

Afternoon we visit the Wat Traimit which is well known as the Golden Buddha.
Boarding on a long tail boat for an excursion along the Chao Phraya River and many bustling interior canals that offer fantastic views of local life close by. Along the way, we stop at Wat Arun, the temple of the Aube. Return to the hotel and free time\ for relaxation.
Overnight in Bangkok
After breakfast at the hotel, take just a short drive from the bustling streets of Bangkok, the high-rise urban landscape dissolves into a lush green rural idyll. This full-day trip to Samut Songkhram Province, only an hour outside the capital, allows guests to experience the traditional charms of the Thai countryside.
The day starts with a trip to Mae Klong Railway Market; a country market has sprouted up along the tracks. When a train pulls in or out of the station, the vendors quickly clear their stalls, only to set them up again moments later when the train has passed! From here, the journey continues to very famous touristic Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.
Although quite touristy today, the market remains the best example to showcase how a floating market originally was like decades ago. A relaxing paddle boat ride through the labyrinth of canals offers the chance to see the old part of the floating market and local lifestyle along the canal side. Off the boat, it is time to enjoy strolling around the colorful floating marketplace bustling with boats and vendors selling tropical fruits and other delights.
For visits falling on a Saturday or Sunday, the tour offers the option of an exploration choosing between visiting Damnoen Saduak or the smaller and less touristy floating market Tha Kha where a short paddle boat tour in the backwaters offering a visit to an old Thai ho Duse making coconut palm sugar.
Depart for Kanchanaburi for a stop to visit the World War II memorial including the Cemetery. Lunch served in a floating restaurant next to the Kwai River Bridge. We continue to take boarding for a train ride along the railway from Wang Pho along the river around 30 minutes. Transfer to the city for the night. Stay overnight in Kanchanaburi.
Morning breakfast and depart for Erawan Waterfall - a beautiful seven-tiered waterfall. Located in Erawan National Park, Walking up to see each of the picturesque falls, it is best to bring good walking shoes. Also, guests should remember to bring their swimming suit if they wish to swim in the fall’s natural pools.
Lunch (by your own account) and afternoon departure for Ayutthaya, the ancient city of Ayutthaya is known as the 'Venice of the East’ because it is found along the Chao Phraya, the tributaries that surround the province of Ayutthaya River. Many monuments and remains of the period can be visited in this city founded in 1350 by King Uthong when the Thai had to migrate to the South under pressure from their neighbours to the North.

Having a breakfast and we will transfer to pay a visit in some sites of Ayutthaya Historical Park, Being a ruin with many temples which characterize the handicraft architecture, the park was recognized as World’s Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Wat Phu Khao Thong is a massive pagoda towering in the middle of paddy fields and can be seen from afar. There is a high golden plated chedi on the top, which makes the pagoda outstanding.
Wat Phra Sri Sanphet was was the most important temple of Ayutthaya with 3 towers standing high together in Ceylonese style.
Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit is the pagoda in which the bronze Buddha statue in the attitude of subduing Mara is situated. This is one of the biggest Buddha statue in Thailand.
Wat Lokaya Sutha is considered as the sacred place for pilgrims since it’s famous for the reclining Buddha statue. It is also the most important relics in most of those in Wat Lokaya Sutha.
Heading back to Bangkok. En route, we visit the Royal Summer Palace in Bang Pa-in district.
Being a favorite resort of royal, the Royal Summer palace showcases an eclectic collection of buildings that blend European, Khmer, Thai and Chinese architectural styles.
The rest time of day is on your own.
Having breakfast at the hotel and then you are free until we pick you up and transfer to the airport, taking an international flight to your hometown or the next destination.
