Pick up from your Bangkok hotel at 8:30 am and drive to Ayutthaya. First, visit Bang Pa-in Summer Palace with its beautiful gardens. Then, explore Wat Prasrisanphet and its three Ceylonese-style pagodas, Wat Mahathat, home to a Buddha relic, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram, built by King Prasart Thong in 1630.

Visit Wat Lokayasutha to see the large reclining Buddha. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, continue to Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), the largest city in the Isaan region. In the evening, visit the Korat night market for shopping and local sights.

After breakfast, depart for Phimai to visit the Phimai Museum, where you'll learn about the region's rich Khmer heritage. Next, explore Prasat Hin Phimai, Thailand's largest Khmer sanctuary, spanning 1020x580 meters. Once a prominent city in the Khmer Empire during the 11th century, the Phimai Historical Park features impressive towers, prangs, and galleries with intricate sandstone carvings depicting scenes from the Ramayana.

Then, drive approximately two hours to Buriram to visit Prasat Hin Phanomrung, a remarkable Khmer site located on the extinct Phanom Rung volcano within a national park. This well-preserved site is one of Thailand's most significant Khmer monuments, meticulously restored over nearly 20 years.
