Itinerary
Warmly welcome you on arrival in Phnompenh International Airport. Our guide will pick up to your hotel to check-in, and you will have time to take a rest after a long flight. And then the rest of day is on your own, you can make an impression on the city by night by exploring yourself.

Today, we will take a visit to several magnificent sites in Phnompenh city.
Located in the confluence of Mekong river, Tonle Sap and Basaac, Phnompenh was considered as Paris of the East. The tough past of Kingdom of Cambodia, including the period of being French’s colony, has been sharply affecting Phnompenh nowadays.
The first destination of city tour is the TuolSleng Genocide Museum. It shows us the genocidal crimes of Khmer Rouge in the ruling period from 1975 to 1979. In the four-year ruling of Khmer Rouge, Tuol Sleng detained about 17.000 people, most of them were soldiers under ruling, who was blamed for betraying.
Next, we visit National Museum, built by French colonial government with the mixture in architecture: French and Khmer. Known as the top of the museums of archaeology and literature in Cambodia, it has the biggest Khmer artistic and religious collections in the world.
We continue to visit Royal Palace, a complex of buildings built in 1866 where the Kings of Kingdom of Cambodia lived, except for the period that Cambodia was under of Khmer Rouge ruling.
We will finish the city tour by visiting Silver Pagoda. Being an important and famous pagoda in Cambodia, Silver Pagoda has more than 5000 handmade pieces of silver paved on the floor. There is a place of cultural and religious precious objects storing, more than its worshipping function.
You will be on your own in the evening, or you might want to enjoy aleisure cruise on Mekong river (optional) with a private catered dinner by well-known chef. The dishes are mainly done with grill and BBQ along with drinks like local beers while you are enjoying the sunset and taking sights along the river bank. You’ll earn a rare, but great opportunity to see the floating villagers and fishermen’s activities. Cruise back to the port and transfer back to your hotel.

Located 40km south from Phnompenh, Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centreis the largest zoo in Cambodia. It was established in 1995, takes care for about 1,200 rescued animals. There are many rare and endangered species in the zoo: elephants, tigers,crocodile, sun bears,… The kids will have fun visiting such an interesting place.
We will have a picnic lunch, then heading back to Phnompenh. En route, we visit the small lake called TonleBati, famous for the tranquil atmosphere. Nearby isTa Prohm Templesand PrasatYeayPov, which were constructed in the 12th century under the period of King Jayavarman VII. These two temples is considered as the Mini Angkor.
Return to the hotel and you are free at leisure.

After having breakfast, we depart from Phnom Penh to Kratie province taking about 6 hours driving through Kampong Cham. In Kampong Cham, we visit local market, walking around the small French colonial building and then we cross the Mekong River by Bamboo Bridge – the longest bamboo bridge in the world to get into Koh Pen Island, where you can find the Cambodian’s prettiest rural village.We will have lunch in the local’s house, then go to Kratieby road and keep going to KohTrong Island by boat to check-in hotel there.
You can take your time to relax in the evening.

Today, we will visit the village of KohTrong to enjoy the life of local people andtheir customs. Visit the market, in which local people trade of food, visit the primary school where you can have knowledge about the system of education in Cambodia, and visit local pagodas.We will have lunch in the village and back to the mainland, keep going to Prek Kampi. The kids must be very excited to watch the rare species of dolphin Irrawaddy there.
Return to the resort in KohTrong and you are free.

Today is quite a long driving journey to Seam Reap. You have breakfast at the hotel, going on boat to the mainland and we will enjoy driving along the Mekong River side. The journey takes about 7 hours driving but there are of lot of nice scenery such as countryside, Khmer Traditional Houses, and the activities of daily life in rural of Cambodia. En route, we have lunch in Kampong Thom and keep moving to Seam Reap to check-in hotel and relax after a long day driving.
The evening will be on you own.

In the morning, after having breakfast, we will drive to southern of Seam Reap to embark on a short cruise to Tonle Sap Lake. You will have a chance to take a boat trip to experience the floating fishing villages of Chong Kneas, which is truly a must-visit in the same way as the temples, and the kids also can go fishing. There are floating houses, markets, schools, and so on. The main means of transport of the inhabitants on the lake is the boat equipped with engine. While sailing on the lake, you cansee many women in the dugout selling all kinds of things.
The Tonle Sap is the largest lake in Southeast Asia. Most of population inhabited around the bank of the Lake earn a living by catching fish and making agricultures. This lake offers a great biodiversity, over 300 species of freshwater fish, as well as snakes, crocodiles, turtles, otters and water birds.
In the afternoon, go to The Happy Ranch Horse Farm and your family will have a chance to explore both ancient temples and authentic Cambodian’s rural life by horse.This is a well-established institution where horses are available for riding. Riding a horse through paddy fields, visiting authentic places and observing traditional customs makes you have fun.
You have a dinner then we will take you to have a watch a circus show at Phare, The Cambodian Circus at 8:00 PM. It is not only a conventional circus, but also an emphasis on artistic performance and a social message behind each one. Phare artists will not make you disappointed with their talents, enthusiasm and artistic energies. Watching circus, the kids will actually be interested.

Today, we will take the whole day to explore Angkor Highlighted Temples Complex.
Recognized as World’s Heritage Site, Angkor Complex was the largest and most important archaeologist sites in Southeast Asia. It contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire. The Complex comprises numerous monuments in Khmer architecture which is naturalistic and complicated.
The first destination is Ta Prohm, which is nearly disappeared in jungle and surrounded tropical forests. It was a monastery and a Mahayanist Buddhism School, constructed by the king Khmer Jayavarman VII in late 12th century and early 13th century.
We continue to visit Angkor Wat, the largest religious heritage site all over the world. The King Khmer Jayavarman II constructed Angkor Wat in early 12th century as his own mausoleum. It is a mixture in 2 basic Khmer architectures: mountainous – temple architecture.
In the afternoon, we will continue to explore the mysterious Angkor Thom – the longest and the last capital of the Khmer Empire. Lying beside Tonle Sap Lake, it was constructed by the king Khmer Jayavarman VII in late 12th century in Bayon architecture. Then, we visit the surroundings of the complex including the Baphou, Elephant Terraces, Lepper King Terrace and Royal Place area and visit one more ruin in Angkor Area of Preah Khan temple, built in 12th century by King Jayavarman VII.
We return to the hotel and you will have time to explore Seam Reap by night by yourself.
