Itinerary

Lombok Arrival – Sengiggi Beach

And then the rest of day is on your own, you can make an impression on the city by night by exploring yourself.
With a 10km coastline, Senggigi is the most popular tourist destination in western Lombok. This is an ideal place for you to relax and rest. The entertainment activities in Senggigi are extremely rich. With the development of tourism, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, travel companies, foreign exchange points, souvenir shops as well as motels, hotels and luxury resorts are racing up.
Accommodation: At the hotel in Sengiggi Beach
Meal: None

Sengiggi Beach – The handicraft villages - Kuta Lombok Beach - Sade Traditional Village - Sengiggi Beach (B)
Today morning, we make our way to some handicraft villages. En route, we pass through the towns of Lombok: Ampenan, Mataram and Cakranegara.
In Ampenan, you will find buildings built during the Dutch rule of the island.
Mataram is not just a mere transfer point; on the contrary, this little town has a lot to explore. In the central square, you will find many art exhibitions, theaters, dance clubs and water puppet shows. In addition, the traditional markets nearby also sell many crafts such as sarongs or other indo-bodied costumes. Especially, do not forget to enjoy the culinary arts of the Sasak people.
We reach Banyumulek Village with a horse-drawn cart ride, called “cidomo”.  Enjoy a short horse ride around these sleepy streets before visiting one of the famous local pottery centers to export their products around the world. Watch the skilled craftsmen at work before trying to create your own souvenir to take home with you.
Next, go to Sukarara Village and be surprised with the sophisticated weaving method called ikat-ikat and songket. Here, watch the skilled craftsmen weave on a simple hand-weaving machine, designing patterns derived from traditional Lombok symbols. Then, go behind the loom and create your own design before trying some traditional Sasak outfits to capture some memorable photos.
We then head to Kuta Lombok Beach to fill your lungs with the sea breeze. Kuta is one of five famous beaches in Lombok Island and has the same name as Kuta Beach on Bali Island. It is only 56 km from Mataram, so it is easy for tourists to approach. Kuta Beach is always impressive for its wide stretch of white sand. Especially, locals have held the Bau Nyale ritual around the end of February to early March. It is a very interesting traditional ritual that attracts the curiosity of people.
End your trip today with a visit to the traditional village of Sade to see some of the best examples of Sasak's local architecture, stopping after 5000 years of history and reminding you of the idyllic times. The village has about 700 inhabitants living in houses called Rumah Bale Tani. Most of the people here work in agriculture and handicrafts. When you come here, you will be treated to “kuih cerorot” - a candy wrapped in coconut leaves. If you are lucky, you will also have the opportunity to see the local people's wedding on the island. The streets will become extremely crowded and the most surprising thing is that no one complains about this but also participate in sharing with family fun. The Sasak ethnic people here have a lot of strange wedding customs, one of them is allowed to marry each other and "abducted" the groom.
Return to the hotel and you are free to relax after a long day of exploration.
