Itinerary
8:00 a.m. - Departure from your hotel. Drive about 50 km from Hanoi to visit the ancient village of Duong Lam in Son Tay province. Duong Lam is a purely agricultural village in the Northern Red River Delta. On arrival, we take a walk on the village path to visit Mong Phu Temple, dedicated to national heroes, Kings Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung.
Enjoy a special Vietnamese lunch prepared by the host. While you are in the house, you can also join locals in producing local delicacies such as soft green lentil cake and brown onion stuffed rice cake, and enjoy these dishes (depending on the season). Continue to visit the Mia Pagoda, built in the 15th century, and admire 287 statues of all sizes before returning to your hotel in Hanoi.
Along the way, if you are interested, stop to visit the Tay Phuong Pagoda built in the 8th century, the best example of an ancient pagoda typical of Northern Vietnam, with its 18 ancient Arhan statues. And Van Phuc Silk Village, the birthplace of the best silk in Vietnam once upon a time, learn about the silk-making process and shop for the best silk products in Van Phuc Village.
