Itinerary

Start your day in Hue gently by strolling around the majestic Citadel and the Imperial City. This captivating tour can easily fill the entire morning, leaving you exhausted enough to enjoy a hearty lunch. Explore the many local shops near Dong Ba Market, offering a variety of delicacies. After a well-deserved nap, take a bike ride or hire a motorbike taxi to the peaceful Thien Mu Pagoda, located along the delicate Perfume River. The serene atmosphere of the pagoda reaches its peak in the afternoon, while the return trip offers breathtaking views at dusk from the Trang Tien Bridge. A fun-filled day in Hue, mixing history, local cuisine, and peaceful contemplation.

The second day offers a range of activities depending on weather conditions. Opt to rent a bike to venture beyond Hue city center. Follow Le Loi Road to Dien Bien Phu Street, where you will discover a multitude of must-see treasures such as Nam Giao Esplanade, Tu Hieu Pagoda, as well as the iconic tombs of Tu Duc, Dong Khanh, Thieu Tri, and Minh Mang.
Each of these sites is steeped in captivating medieval history and a distinct artistic style. Prepare for a full day of cycling by bringing water and a packed lunch. If cycling is not your preference, renting a motorbike or the option of cycling are alternatives to consider.
When night falls, don't miss the boat ride along the Perfume River, where you can taste royal cuisine and listen to live royal music. Relax in the calm of Hue and reflect on how the king lived with this meal and music.

Less crowded than popular destinations like Hoi An or Nha Trang, Thuan An Beach, located about 13 km from downtown Hue, offers a tranquil atmosphere. The calm ocean waters create an ideal setting for swimming, and the seafood restaurants along the beach offer affordable meals and fresh fare.
The rest of the day can be spent strolling around the city center, tasting local specialties such as Banh nam, Banh loc, at Hang Me restaurant. Another option is to cycle to Thanh Toan village , offering an immersion into the delicacy of the Hue countryside.
