Despite its rapid growth, Phnom Penh has preserved much of its rustic charm and elegance. A city rich in history and culture, every street corner holds echoes of its past.

Our full-day sightseeing tour begins right after breakfast:

  • Cyclo ride through the bustling streets
  • Visit to the Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda
  • A deeply moving visit to S21 Prison, reflecting on Cambodia’s tragic past under the Khmer Rouge
  • Lunch in town at a local restaurant
  • Explore Sosoro Museum, one of Cambodia’s most renowned historical museums
  • Leisurely stroll through the French Quarter & a visit to Wat Phnom

Evening Entertainment & Fine Dining

After a day of discovery, join us in the lounge for an engaging expert lecture before indulging in:

  • An open-air barbecue & gala dinner
  • A classic Apsara dance performance

After dinner, you’re free to explore Phnom Penh’s nightlife, take a stroll along the river promenade, or simply unwind on board.

We depart Phnom Penh early, heading to Angkor Ban. The day begins with a morning Tai Chi session, setting a peaceful tone before our excursion.

Morning Excursion (Default for all ships):
Explore Angkor Ban, a charming village with a monastery. Meet monks during their morning class and engage with locals, gaining insight into Cambodia’s rustic lifestyle.

Optional Excursions:

  • Cycling (The Jahan only, extra cost): Ride through vegetable fields, historic houses, and blacksmith workshops, ending with a refreshing local drink.

As we continue upstream, the crew presents traditional Khmer fashion before lunch.

Afternoon Excursion (Default for all ships):
Arrive at Kampong Cham, a key trade hub with small artisan villages like Cheung Krok, where locals craft handmade goods.

Optional Excursion:

  • Cycling (The Jahan only, extra cost): Pedal through Kampong Cham and Koh Pen, passing vegetable fields, tobacco farms, and beekeepers.

In the evening, we sail downstream, mooring at Prek Bangkong for the night.

Early risers can join the daily Tai Chi session on the open deck.

Morning Excursion (Default for all ships):
Visit Prek Bangkong, a village known for its silk weaving community and former royal residence. Observe the silk-making process and explore the heritage house of H.E. Sam-El, a renowned royal architect.

Optional Excursion:

  • Cycling (The Jahan only, extra cost): Ride through scenic landscapes to the former royal palace of “Lavea Em,” stopping at historic pagodas, silk workshops, and local markets. Enjoy a tea break at H.E. Sam-El’s residence.

As we sail upstream into the Tonle River, our guide presents insights into the geography of the Mekong and Tonle Rivers before lunch.

Afternoon Excursion (Default for all ships):
Explore the Kampong Tralach countryside by ox-cart, passing rice paddies to reach a small village. Visit a local NGO school and library project or an ancient 300-year-old temple and Buddha shrine.

Optional Excursion:

  • Cycling (The Jahan only, extra cost): Bike through the Tonle Region, stopping at the former royal palace of ‘Lungvek’ and the historic Buddha Jade Temple (1560), while witnessing local fishermen at work.

Enjoy happy hour at the bar as we sail into the sunset, mooring near Kampong Laeang. After dinner, unwind with a classic film at the nightly cinema.

Morning Excursion (Default for all ships):
Explore Kampong Laeang, a vibrant rural village across from the famous pottery town of Kampong Chhnang. Travel by tuk-tuk to meet locals, observe traditional pottery making, and visit a pre-Angkorian temple. Enjoy panoramic views of the floodplains and rice fields (seasonal).

Optional Excursions:

  • Culinary (Jayavarman only): Join a hands-on session preparing “Nom Krok,” a beloved Khmer rice cake, learning its cultural significance and unique cooking techniques.
  • Cycling (The Jahan only, extra cost): Ride through rice paddies and villages, passing local workshops producing pottery and palm sugar.

Back on board, the ship sails into the vast Tonle Lake. Spend the afternoon enjoying onboard entertainment and ocean-like views. As we reach our mid-lake mooring spot near Siem Reap, the journey concludes with a farewell dinner and festive celebration.

Enjoy a final breakfast on board as we prepare to conclude our journey.

The Tonle Sap, Cambodia’s “Great Lake,” is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, teeming with rich biodiversity and sustaining millions of lives. As we disembark, a local boat takes us past a vast floating community before reaching the Siem Reap pier.
