Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) is an annual event in Da Nang, Vietnam. Following the resounding success of 2023, DIFF 2024 will officially return this summer, from June 8th to July 13th, 2024.
Da Nang is becoming Asia's most popular event and festival site, and DIFF 2024 will be the festival's twelfth edition. To cater to both tourists and locals, the city will hold several side events during this time, such as local festivals, music festivals, and art exhibits.

Particularly, the festival will occur on every Saturday from June 8th to July 13th. The host team, Vietnam, will kick off the event by competing against the DIFF 2023 Champion, France, on the Opening Night. The grand finale will be held on July 13th, determining the overall winner of DIFF 2024.
This year, DIFF 2024 will continue to be organized on Han Riverside, the symbol of Da Nang City. Specifically, the stage and the grandstand area will be set up on Tran Hung Dao pavements, making it easier to witness the illumination of fireworks.

After hosting the event for over a decade, Da Nang International Fireworks Festival has become an eagerly anticipated international event in the coastal city. In 2024, DIFF will again captivate audiences with dazzling fireworks performances this summer.
On the twelfth celebration, DIFF 2024 brings together eight teams from eight nations: France, the United States, Italy, Germany, Poland, China, Finland, and the host nation, Vietnam. Teams will participate in four nights of qualification with four distinct themes this time around, with the main topic being "MADE IN UNITY: Global Connectivity, The Glorious Five Continents," with the top two teams moving on to the Grand Finale.

DIFF 2024 will feature 5 competition nights, including 4 qualifying nights and one final night. On the Opening Night, DIFF 2024 was officially celebrated with vivid fireworks performances from the reigning champion France, and the host, Vietnam. The Da Nang team's fireworks display was impressive, but it was unfortunately marred by smoke. This was the general sentiment about their performance: "Dance of the Sky."
Meanwhile, the French team's performance was inspired by the dragon, a symbolic creature of Vietnamese culture. They have illuminated the sky with colorful displays, to convey a message of strength, power, and human connection. The team also scored strongly when they brought popular Vietnamese songs into their performance.

The most anticipated and unprecedented performance in previous DIFF seasons on the opening night of DIFF 2024 is the Jetski & Flyboards sports art show. A skillful combination of dances on the water, in the air, and extreme sports performances combined with fireworks, the show is performed by the world’s Top 1 Jetski and Flyboard athletes, famous for their aerobatic skills in the air.

This top performance was performed by the famous Australian producer H2O, the world’s leading producer of water shows, combined with fireworks. With more than 30 years of experience organizing shows at dozens of theme parks worldwide, and in blockbuster movie scenes like James Bond and Mission Impossible, he promises to create a completely different highlight of DIFF 2024 performance.

The meticulously invested special art program is always a special highlight of DIFF nights. This year’s opening night of the DIFF 2024 festival will feature an array of vibrant artistic performances, with the participation of numerous renowned singers, including Tung Duong, a celebrated Divo of the Vietnamese music industry, and Trang Phap, the winner of “Beautiful sister riding the wind and waves 2023—Vietnam edition”.
The art program featuring stirring songs about Vietnam and Da Nang, or timeless French love songs, will lead off the exciting competition between the French team ArtEventia and the home team Da Nang.
In particular, the art program will be performed on a stage with a larger investment and improved modern technology, 20% larger than in 2023. The stage was designed by creative hands to convey the message of a peaceful and humane world, following the theme of DIFF 2024.
