September and October are the best time to explore Lim Mong Village. This is also when Mu Cang Chai terraced fields are most beautiful. Tourists can admire the unique golden natural scenery in the ripe rice season.
Another perfect occasion is the water-pouring season from May to June. At this time, when the first rains pour down, water is led from the mountains into the terraced fields, making the dry soil softer and expanding, ready for a new crop. Lim Mong village is located on Highway 32. From Hanoi, you go towards Trung Ha Bridge. When arriving at Thanh Son (Phu Tho), go straight along Highway 32 toward Yen Bai Province. When passing Tu Le Commune about 5km you will reach the foot of Khau Pha Pass, here there is a road turning right. This pass road is quite steep and curves around the mountainside, you continue about 4km to Lim Mong village.

Lim Thai Village is a small village located next to Lim Mong Village and is home to Thai ethnic people. Although not as famous as Lim Mong, Lim Thai has its own impressive beauty.
Visitors will be fascinated by the rustic country vibe, making people who come here once remember it forever. The traditional Thai houses with silvery gray roofs appear at the foot of the mountain, surrounded by lush green gardens. There are no high-rise buildings or flashy lights, but it is filled with a sense of relaxation and gentleness.

Tu Le Valley is another hidden gem in Mu Cang Chai. It is only about 4km away from Lim Mong Village, and tourists can take time and explore this beautiful spot.
