God Fish Stream, called Ngoc Stream by locals, is a mystical destination in Vietnam. The stream itself is only about 100 meters long and 3-4 meters wide, but it's home to tens of thousands of fish!

God Fish Stream has many small branches, but the most famous stream is in Cam Luong Commune, Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. The stream is approximately 2 kilometers long, flowing from a cave at the foot of the mountain into the south bank of Ma River. The section of stream with sacred fish is only about a hundred meters from the cave entrance with 3 meters wide.

Cam Luong commune is about 130 kilometers from Hanoi. Though in the mountain area, you can catch a coach or travel by personal vehicle thanks to the planned road. Starting in Hanoi, depart in the direction of Ha Dong and go onto Highway 21A to get there.
You can visit Cam Luong God Fish Stream at any time of year as it is always open to visitors. However, the best time to visit is from April to September. In the summer, the water is clear and you can see the moss and pebbles at the bottom.
When the water level rises, thousands of fish of all sizes swim out, weighing an average of 2 to 8 kilograms. You can even see giant fish weighing up to 30 kilograms. Schools of fish swimming freely in the stream, basking in the shimmering sunlight, will create an unforgettable impression on you.

Despite the abundance of fish, the water in the stream remains remarkably clear and doesn’t have fishy smell. Locals even use this water for daily living. Scientists still researching this difficult thing to explain.
The fish only swim around a specific section about 100 meters long. Strangely enough, in a flood, water covers the entire path leading to the stream, the fish do not get swept away. Instead, they take refuge in caves and crevices. Even the smaller fish that are carried away by the current somehow manage to find their way back.

The Muong ethnic people in Thanh Hoa believe God Fish Stream protects the villagers. The abundance of fish is a symbol of prosperity and peace in villagers’ lives. Therefore, God will punish if catching the fish. There have been many stories told someone dares to catch the sacred fish here to eat, they will encounter misfortune.
These fishes exhibit a diversity of shapes and colors. As they swim and flip in the sunlight, they will change continuously colors such as blue, red, yellow, pink... sparkling silver. This is the reason why they are called God Fish.

You can buy some vegetables and corn from the locals to feed the fish. Hundreds of fishes of all colors constantly swimming are easy to feed because they are quite familiar with humans. Ngoc Temple next to God Fish Stream
Cay Dang Cave on Truong Sinh Mountain, 70m above the ground. The cave has unique shaped stalactites with many mysterious shimmering colors. Interestingly, visitors enter the cave through one path and exit through another, forming a complete loop.
God Fish Stream opened from 7:00 to 17:00 and visitors must buy entrance tickets. The price will be VND 20 000 for adults, VND 10 000 for children. Children under 1 meter are free of charge.
Maintain the landscape around the stream
In the stream, catching fish is prohibited. You also must not litter and waste into the stream. When feeding, only foods provided by the area management board are allowed. Finally, do not damage stalactites when visiting the cave.
