History

Under the Nguyen Dynasty, Binh Phuoc was a part of Bien Hoa Town. By the mid-19th century, the French colonialists divided the South of Vietnam into four regions: Saigon, My Tho, Vinh Long and Bat Xac. This location was included in Saigon region.

Since 1956, the Saigon government established several new provinces in the South. Of these, two provinces Binh Long and Phuoc Long were the predecessors of the province. On January 30th, 1971, the Central Office for Southern Vietnam decided to establish Binh Phuoc Sub-region.

At the end of 1972, this sub-region was dissolved and Binh Phuoc Province was officially established. On January 1st, 1997, the province was re-established, including 05 districts in the North of Song Be Province: Dong Phu, Binh Long, Loc Ninh, Phuoc Long and Bu Dang.

Weather 

Binh Phuoc has a tropical monsoon climate, divided into two distinct seasons: rainy season and dry season. Rainy season (May to October) with high average rainfall and high humidity. Dry season (November to April) of the following year, with low average rainfall and low humidity.

How to get there

  • Route 1: You move from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Phuoc, you will start from the city center, you go straight along Xo Viet - Nghe Tinh Street to cross Binh Trieu 1 Bridge. Then, you continue to go straight for about 25 kilometers along National Highway 13.

Here, if you need to move to Dong Xoai Town, at Binh Duong Avenue, near Binh Duong City Park, you turn onto Nguyen Van Thanh Street to cross Tan Uyen District. Continue to go straight for another 70 kilometers and you will reach Dong Xoai Town of Binh Phuoc. If you want to go to Binh Long, you do not turn but just go straight along National Highway 13 for about 75 kilometers.

  • Route 2: You can start from National Highway 1A, then turn left to enter Le Van Khuong Street. You go straight for about 17 kilometers towards Phu Cuong Bridge to reach Thu Dau Mot City. Here you turn left onto Binh Duong Boulevard and follow the direction of the first route that Asia King Travel has instructed above.
