Itinerary
Departure from your hotel towards the village of Tho Ha, in the province of Bac Ninh, offering a great opportunity to appreciate the rural landscapes, where farmers go about their tasks in the middle of the rice fields, accompanied by water buffalo. Crossing the Cau River by local ferry will be followed by a walk through the village of Tho Ha, allowing you to discover the local culture by interacting with the inhabitants and observing their daily activities.
Explore the narrow lanes of Tho Ha, lined with ancient houses built from pieces of terracotta. Visiting the village cemetery and sea wall will offer panoramic views of the village above a picturesque lake. Tho Ha is now famous for its rice wine, and rice cakes, and the village's special brick walls attract the attention of film producers, painters, and photographers.
Visit a family to discover the process of making rice cakes, and actively participate in this artisanal experience. Chat with the hosts to better understand their traditions and way of life.
On your way back to Hanoi, make a stop at Dong Ky Wood Carving Village. Originally a hobby, carpentry has become the main occupation of Dong Ky residents, thriving on the growing demand for their furniture hand-carved and quality handicrafts. The tour ends with drop-off at your hotel in Hanoi around 3:30 p.m.
