Welcome to our Sarawak Tour 9 days: A Pristine Excursion in Malaysia!

Sarawak is one of the two states of East Malaysia located on the island of Borneo. This island has incredible biodiversity, its thick jungles are home to several superb endemic species. Come and discover the jungle of Sarawak with Asia King Travel!

Your trip will begin in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak. This city holds an essential political and economic role in the state. You will have the opportunity to visit the oldest building in the city, the Sarawak State Museum as well as the Tun Abdylk Hall, the Islamic Museum of Sarawak, the Astana (the former palace of the White Rajahs), or even the Chinese history museum. Then, you will spend several days in Batang Ai National Park in a longhouse to fully enjoy the surrounding flora and fauna.

Finally, you will stay 3 nights in Santubong where you can visit the orangutan rehabilitation center of the Semenggoh reserve while crossing the jungle and botanical gardens. You will have the opportunity to do different activities such as kayaking, tree climbing, swimming in a natural swimming pool...

Arrival at Kuala Lumpur Airport, domestic flight connection to Kuching. Welcome, transfer, and installation at your hotel, free time to relax or visit the city.

Departure for a visit to the pretty city of Kuching and the cat statue, the symbol of the city (Kuching means “cat” in Malay).
You will also take a walk in Chinatown. Discovery of the Chinese temple Tua Pek Kong, the Sarawak Museum, the Mosque, the old town…

Departure from your hotel towards Batang Ai via beautiful country roads and friendly little villages.
Lunch in a local restaurant in Lachau, then boat to reach the village (1h15).
Arrival and installation in your longhouse, traditional Iban longhouse, and discovery of daily life and village activities. Dinner and night in the longhouse.

Departure from your longhouse for a trek into the heart of the Borneo jungle.
Walk through the Batang Ai National Park, located near the Indonesian border, between 900 and 1600m above sea level. Observation of tropical flora and fauna and wild orangutans!
Night in bivouac.

Breakfast. Continuation of your trek through the exotic jungle, as close as possible to nature.
Discovery of an astonishing ecosystem and learning some basics for surviving in the forest.
Night in bivouac.

Go up the river in a rowboat and cross the lake to reach the pier. Continuation of the journey by road towards Kuching.
Lunch is on the way.
Transfer and installation at your hotel in the middle of the jungle with cabins perched on the trees.
Night in Santubong.

Departure for a visit to the Semenggoh orangutan rehabilitation center. This is the best place in Sarawak to observe primates in semi-freedom. Orangutans roam freely in the jungle and return to the center at mealtime. To reach the viewing platform, you will walk through the jungle and pass through botanical gardens.
Return to your hotel, free time to discover the surroundings, or take advantage of the activities offered by the hotel: kayaking, tree climbing, swimming in a natural swimming pool, etc.

Night in Santubong.

Departure from your hotel towards Bako National Park. Walk through the exceptional flora, mangrove forests, tropical plants and observation of different animals: proboscis monkeys (long-nosed), macaques, flying squirrels...
Picnic lunch on the beach then return to your hotel.
Free evening. Night in Santubong.

Departure from your hotel, transfer to Kuching airport then flight to Kuala Lumpur.
