Luang Prabang Tour 6 days: Family Activities are particularly designed to be ideal activities for both children and adults. Outdoor activities combined with cultural touring and relaxing trip to the solemnest places are perfect suited to a family adventure travel. Reach the UNESCO city, tour splendid temples and fantastic colonial architecture, unwind in the tranquil river city, and sample local delicacies and participate in many kid-friendly activities. You also have the chance to take a short escape from the busy daily life with the stay at the tranquil Chanthavinh Resort. All makes your unforgettable trip with family.

Itinerary
On arrival at the Luang Prabang airport, you will be met and transferred to check in the hotel.
Late afternoon, join a private Baci ceremony at a local family. The Baci ceremony as a traditional ritual of the Lao people expresses the spirituality of the country and is a highly memorable experience and a deep insight into Lao culture for the participants.
You will be served dinner and share with family members which helps us have first-hand experience of local life and culture.
Overnight at the hotel in Luang Prabang.
In the morning, you are picked up and transferred by sharing minivan to Hoi Khua waterfalls (15Km, 45-minute transfer).
At your arrival, we take a while to relax for a Tea or a coffee at the Coffee shop to fill our security acknowledgement form and then begin climbing to the top of the waterfall with a local professional guide for a hiking loop of around 2h30.
Explore the natural pool from the waterfall water spring, old trees, the jungle vegetation, the tales of Hoi Khua waterfall and the local life style.
Continue by the governor’s trees plantations project, wild field, veggies found along the way, walk back down to the coffee shop, take a short rest and climb up to the higher trees then enjoy the fresh air with 12 stations and 900 meters of Zip Line down to the Valley between the trees across the Green Jungle Canopy to the Green Garden Flower before abseil down of the tree and then back to the coffee shop by the Green Organic Trail, take a short rest and back to Luang Prabang by sharing minivan.
In the afternoon, our city tour starts with a visit to the magnificent Wat Xiengthong Vat Xieng Thong which is one of the most important of Lao monasteries and reserves a significant monument to the spirit of religion, royalty and traditional art where you’ll be suprised by the temple complex’s struture and gold decoration. After that, you will visit Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of unique artifacts.
If we have enough time, we will make a stroll around the small streets of city center, watching the life of local people, and visiting the traditional house of Heuan Chan, the Chantal wooden house dating back to 100 years old.
From there, we will transfer to visit Wat Prabath to admire the sunset; this is the really peaceful place to catch the last beauty of the day. The tour ends after a visit to the famous Night Market, where you can find a lovely collection of handmade textiles made by local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.
Overnight in Luang Prabang
Today, you will participate in the cooking class at Mai Too Restaurant.
Our day tour begins with a visit to the major food market; give us explanation what the foods are and what they are used for.
We then transfer back to Mai Too Restaurant to cook and eat and the lunch time would be finished at around 2:30.
After lunch, we will reach one of the most beautiful Kuang Si Falls situated 30 kilometers of Southern Luang Prabang
The Kuang Si Waterfall consists of a tiered many of turquoise pools put amongst the dense Laotian jungle where we will have plenty of time to refreshing swim in the pools and hike around the falls.
We will also take a short tour to the Bear Rescue Center holding a couple of dozen animals rescued from the hands of poachers and traffickers.
Before returning back to Luang Prabang, we make a stop to visit Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park, one of the must-visit spots, a project that was newly opened on January 2014 studying about Laos butterflies, host plants and preservation.
Overnight in Luang Prabang
Note: Mai Too Cooking Class is the private class with maximum of 04 people at once. If there are more clients to join, we will do at another cooking class
Be welcomed and met by our guide this morning around 8:30 am, for the short road transfer to the boat pier which departs Ban Wat That at 9:00). Experience a 15-minute leisurely boat trip down the Mekong River, as well as views of charming Luang Prabang town from a unique perspective.
Upon arrival, a professional reception at Pha Tad Ke Botanical Garden will give us a short introduction about the gardens. Then pass through the Ginger Garden and the Ethno-botanic Garden, which is the middle of the garden. Follow the path through the Limestone Walk and take in the amazing mountainous Mekong landscape. Study how to make a bamboo stick animal at the site of the hunting lodge of the former royal family.
Then going on our tour of the gardens, passing through the Arboretum, Palm Garden and Bamboo Garden to a viewpoint which overlooks rice fields. Make a stop by the Mist House to learn more about the necessary of biodiversity conservation. End of your excursion with an optional orchid talk at Pha Tad Ke Nursery.
All of the gardens have introductory panels and labels, for the most detailed information. Enjoy a delicious Lao set lunch at the Pha Tad Ke café, before returning by boat, then vehicle to your hotel in Luang Prabang.
After breakfast, we will have chance to first climb the Phousi hill to enjoy the panoramic view over the ancient city. We then continue with seeing the city’s the most ancient temple of Wat Sene.
Then we take a local boat on Mekong river in 2 hours to reach the best famous and spiritual Pak Ou Buddha Caves, where we could have a look at confluence of the Mekong & Ou Rivers. Since the 16 century, the villagers built many thousands of Buddha images here.
On the way, you will stop at Ban Muang Keo, a famous village for its traditional Lao rice whisky production. You will arrive back in Luang Prabang in the late afternoon and continue by road transfer to the outskirts of town to visit Ban Xangkhong , a village well-known for its wood paper making and also Lao silk weavings with natural dyes.
We then take the cruise downstream to Chanthavinh Resort, which locates on the other sides of Mekong river, at the peaceful village of Ban Chan.
You are free for the rest of the day to relax, or visit the village.
You are free to stroll around the resort for your own exploration before taking the departure flight. End of services.
