Itinerary

On arrival at Pleiku Airport transfer 50-minutes to Kon Tum, where you can check into the hotel. After settling in, venture out to visit Gia Rai villages. The Gia Rai hill tribe group believes in the existence of genies and hold rituals connected to this faith. The group is a matriarchal society, in which the women are free to choose who they marry. The husband lives with the wife’s family and inheritance is passed on to the daughters.
Each village has a communal house called a rong, a central stilt house with a tall, steeply pitched thatched roof. No nails are used in the bamboo construction. At the end of the afternoon return to Kon Tum. Evening at leisure.
Overnight in Kon Tum

Morning: Drive for about an hour to reach the Sodra villages of Kon Ray and Kon Bil, where traditional long stilt houses are made of bamboo, straw, and rattan. Take time to explore the unique architecture and local way of life.
Continue your journey to Kon Du, a village of the Jo Long hill tribe, known for its hand weaving on giant looms and the eerie wooden statues found in their cemeteries.
Late Morning: After checking out of your hotel, drive for 30 minutes to the Bhanar village of Kon Ko Tu. From here, embark on a 4-kilometer trek along the Dak Bla River. As you walk, you'll see locals tending to buffaloes, preparing crops for harvest, and transporting their produce to the village market. Enjoy the peaceful rural life and scenic beauty.
Afternoon: Return to Kon Ko Tu village by pirogue, taking in the river's tranquility.
Evening: Tonight, enjoy a local dinner, complete with a Gong show and Xoang dancing, accompanied by rice wine. Afterward, relax and immerse yourself in the culture at a homestay, where you’ll spend the night.

Morning: Depart Kon Ko Tu Village and drive 30 minutes back to Kon Tum to visit the town's old wooden church, a unique blend of hill tribe and European architectural styles.
Mid-Morning: Continue to the Bahnar hill tribes of Pleitenghia and Kanhnogokotu, where animist beliefs are still deeply woven into daily life. Learn about the spirits of water, fire, and wind, and the shamans who perform rain-making ceremonies and other rituals.
