Welcome to our Chiang Rai Tour 3 days: Golden Triangle Exploration

With relaxed atmosphere, good-value accommodation and great local food, Chiang Rai is a province worth getting to visit. Chiang Rai Province has such a diversity of attractions that its capital is often overlooked. We designed this tour with the highlight sites in Chiang Rai and the commercial centre of the Golden Triangle border region of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos.

Upon arrival in Chiang Rai, we will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. Cheking-in and then you are free to relax by yourself.

Morning after breakfast, we will visit the local market to discover the local products. After that we visit the world famous Wat Phra Kaew, where the Emerald Buddha image was once enshrined

Continue to visit Baan Dam (Black House), an eclectic mix of traditional northern Thai buildings interspersed with some outlandish modern designs.

We have lunch then take a boat to cruise on Mae Kok river from Chiang Rai to Karen village where you can watch elephants or feed them.
Heading back to Chiang Rai to overnight.

After breakfast,drive to visit Chiang Saen, the ancient city famous for the Golden Triangle.
We visit Opium museum, showing the opium’s history in the past in Thailand. This exhibition portrays every angle of the story, from the history of the Golden Triangle, the origin of opium, the opium war, etc.

Having lunch at the local restaurant at the Golden Triangle, then taking a boat trip along Mekong Kong River to see Thailand, Burma & Laos, confluence at the Golden Triangle. It is known for its beautiful scenery including a large golden Buddha image seated in a boat, an ancient temple on a hill and the House of Opium Museum.
Transferring back to Chiang Rai for departure or transfer directly to Chiang Mai.
