Hello

Poor
Thank you very much for your email.

I have to say that our whole experience was very enjoyable. Especially for those who had never been to Asia before. Our guide, Ziu, was extremely attentive and accommodating, as well as very knowledgable.

Our only complaint would be the beer situation. I completely understand that we come from different cultures, and that drinking beer and spirits is not done to excess in Vietnam.
However, for us frigid Canadians, nothing is better than a ice cold beer after any excursion.
More often than not, when we asked for a beer on the boat, it was warm. A minor detail that I would say is easy to change and would make a huge difference!

The food was absolutely amazing, however, a lot of the time, it was way too much!
Especially at lunch. I just hope that none of the food goes to waste!

Anyway, I will definitely pass along your business to friends.

Thanks for all your help.

Talk soon!
Sincerely,
Nicolas

The two of us recently traveled for 3 months in Southern Asia. We developed a general plan. Asia King helped us immensely in organizing and improving upon the 7+ weeks we spent in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos during January and February 2017. This included a week on the Mekong enroute to the Angkor Wat area, a stay in a village up-river from Luang Prabang, a few days among the hill tribes north-east of Hanoi, overnight on the beautiful but too crowded Halong Bay, and several days in Hue and Hoian.
While the time we allotted was too short, the guides and travel connections Asia King arranged helped us to use our time efficiently. Huong Bui reacted perceptively to our ideas and comments during the planning stage. The guides in each location fine-tuned the plan as they listened to our comments and made sure we visited the sites most important to us in a time-efficient manner, including some experiences not on the itinerary. Most of the guides were extremely knowledgeable and could convey the information well, a few had more difficulty providing additional details in response to our questions; unfortunately, sometimes my hearing made it difficult to understand their English. The drivers were reasonably careful and always on time. We prefer small, traditional/ historical hotels with walking access to pleasant neighborhoods and restaurants, and Asia King helped us reserve such safe, comfortable, and friendly places as much as it was possible.
Having arranged a private tour was in general not more expensive than most group tours; it had the major advantages of personalization and of enabling us to slow down when we were tired (as happens more often than in the past - we are 70+) and to extend the day's activities when that made sense. We loved the people we met along the way, and experienced and learned a great deal more about history, culture, geography, and the natural worlds of these countries because of the support from Asia King.

Hello Ms Huong,

We had a great trip. We were lucky with the weather as we had no rain to interrupt our days. We have seen many areas of the south and it was really good to get to see the north of Vietnam.

Our Hanoi tour guide Mr Q really made our trip a great time. He was very friendly, approachable with questions and knowledgeable. He also made us laugh a lot which made our trip great. We learnt a lot about the Vietnam way of doing things that we didn't know before and shared a lot of stories about our lives and families. Mr Q is a real asset to your company. Don't let him go.

Our guide in Sapa, Ken, was also really good. He showed us through the markets and took us on the wonderful trek to the homestay. He was also very friendly, knowledgeable and approachable and we had a great time in Sapa with him.

Hotels were great. The Hanoi Pearl was a good choice as we could walk to many areas of interest easily. Same with the Sapa hotel from which we could walk in the town and find our way back easily. The boat trip on Ha Long Bay was exceptional. Boat was really good along with crew and the food was very good.

Drivers were great. We thought our first driver would be the same driver for all of Hanoi. However, he left us after dropping us off at the train station for the Sapa train and we didn't tip him. He had driven us around for the first 3 days without any problems and we were planning to tip him at the end of our trip. If you know who he was please apologize for us.

Overall we had a wonderful time.

People always ask who we use for our trips and I point them towards Asia King Travel. We are thinking of going to Myanmar sometime but no plans as to when. I will contact you when we do.

Thank you for all your help and support. We think Asia King is a great company for travelling in your areas. We will contact you if we travel around there again.

All the best to the company and staff. Especially Mr Q who we will keep friends with.

And also special wishes for your new baby. Let me know when your baby arrives.

Regards

Hi Huong
Sorry for late reply,  We loved our cruise and the time we spent in Cambodia and Vietnam.  Your service was efficient and you helped us with all our enquiries.  The boat  Toum Thui is a quite old now but we loved its authenticity.  The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed all the trip in spite of having to take the bus downriver to start because of low water.  The food on board was good and also the entertainment .  We would highly recommend this trip to others.  If you want luxury then perhaps this is not for you but for us it was very special and we want very much to return to this part of the world.
Thank you again

Hello Huong.

We loved our trip on the Mekong Dawn! Everything was perfect. My wife loved the menu that your chef prepared for us daily, and it was some of her favorite food on our entire trip. We really appreciate your accommodating here vegetarianism.

The staff were very pleasant, and we enjoyed our day trips at each place we stopped. The pottery kiln, palm plantation, and floating village were a delight. My wife might have better feedback than me, but I know we both really loved our time on the cruise. It was a welcome time of relaxation between the bustle of Phnom Pehn and Siam Reap.

Hi Ngoc
Now we are back in Norway after a pleasent vacation in Vietnam.
About our samphan cruise - thanks to your excellent service, information and following up on my questions, changes etc. the cruise was a success.

We were picked up by the river in the morning and after a pleasant drive, one stop for refreshment, reached the samphan. we were met by our excellent guide, Mr. EM, highly recommended, and crew members taking care of our luggage. Getting on board welcomed with fresh cotton towels and coconut drinks we were cycling in the area before going to "Le Longanier" restaurant for an excellent dinner - beautiful house.

Then back to the samphan and the cruise started.

We were, before the cruise, "afraid" that it would be a little crowded and little time for ourselves enjoying the cruise - but how we were wrong! We were treated like royal and Mr. Em, the guide did everything he could to make it OUR cruise. Never disturbed, always "on alert" if we wanted to ask something, freshly brewed Vietnamese coffee always available.

The meals, prepared in a tiny microscopic "kitchen" was restaurant like.
Since we are experienced travellers we chose to use less time on stops in markets and brick factory that we have seen before. Also last evening dinner in private house - going there with the little boat only to pick up dinner, not eating there - eating later on the boat on our way to Rach Gia.

We were told that normally the samphan reached Rach Gia around 3-4AM cruising all night. Since the noice from the engine in our beautiful bed room was quit high - 81dB - it was difficult to sleep. But since we made fewer stops as described we reached Rach Gia around 11PM and had a quiet nice sleep all night waking up to a nice breakfast. The bath room was almost hotel like, tiles in shower.

Mr. Em had arranged for a taxi to take us to the ticked office and then to "Superdong" bound for Phu Quoc.
After taking farewell with our excellent - No.1 - crew we ended our cruise.

The samphan cruise was a once in a lifetime wonderful experience - recommended!

Thank you again and we will definately recommend Asia King Travel and Ms. Ngoc to everyone!
See some photos attached. One from the tiny "kitchen" :-)

Best regards

Dear Mrs Lien Dinh,
We are both well and very much enjoyed our trip to Cambodia.

Thank you for organising our cruise on the Jayavarman. In terms of feedback i would like to say that the cruise was excellent. The ship was very luxurious. The cabin was very well appointed, the staff friendly, well trained and hard working.   The food was exceptionally good, there was so much food and a large variety.  The tour guide on our cruise (Mr Toh) spoke very good English and was very knowledgable.  The excursions were interesting and we especially liked that they were not too long, which enabled us to enjoy plenty of time on board the ship. The only comment I would have is that the excursions were not the same as mentioned in the itinerary, I think because of the high water. This was not a problem at all to us but maybe some other people would be concerned.  Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and they even invited us back for dinner on the last night after we left the cruise in Phnom Penh.

The communication with Asia King Travel was easy and reliable. I would recommend your service to others.

Kind regards
