Dear Ms Ngoc,
We arrived home on Thursday afternoon from a very enjoyable trip through Laos and Northern Vietnam.

Firstly, a big thank you to Asia King for the gift of lacquer plates, they are very nice.

In Laos, our guide Lee was nicknamed ‘Mr Early’ by the hotel staff because he was always in good time to start the day. Lee was very attentive, spoke very good English, stayed with us through all the activities and had a very good knowledge of the history, people and customs in Laos. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Our driver, Mee was very courteous and a very careful driver. Overall 10 out of 10.

In northern Vietnam, our guide was Huy. Huy gave us a very detailed tour at Dien Bien Phu and a very good commentary on the hill tribe people that we saw on our long, slow drives. In Sapa, Huy took us on a 7km trek through three villages and we were lucky enough to see a few ladies from different hill tribes. We were also lucky to have a new 4WD vehicle and our driver Dong was the most careful driver that I have seen. Overall 9.5 out of 10.

For 3 star accommodation, all of the hotels were fine and we only had breakfast in most of them. We did have lunch and dinner in My Dream Resort and it was very good. The only negative comment was that the Senerly Hotel in Muong Khua was most unfriendly and didn’t provide breakfast (the room was fine), Lee organised breakfast at a local restaurant. I doubt that there are many options for accommodation here though.

The boats that we travelled on in Laos were excellent, even being served tea and coffee on the way to Kamu Lodge!

I hope the above details provide sufficient feedback? We attach a few photos of our trip.

We will certainly let our family and friends know how well that Asia King organised the trip.

Kind Regards

Dear Ngoc
Thank Asia King Travel and you for our great vacation.
Everything was perfectly organized.
The service was excellent.

We want to thank our Thailand guide Ms Lucky and our Cambodian guide for their great job.
They were very professional and informative. They spent a lot of time with us doing everything, that we enjoy every minute of our stay.
Food was delicious. Drivers, crew stuff and hotels were perfect.
Angkor Boutique Tropic Hotel is a real hidden treasure.
We will definitely recommend your service to all our friends.

Wishing you a Happy New Year.

Dear Ms. Ngoc,
We just arrived back in Italy after our holiday in Viet Nam.

Everything has run perfectly. We enjoyed our cruise and we'd like to thank you for the perfect assistance provided.
The crew has been excellent in meeting all of our wishes, they've been always helpful and kind, as well as our guide.
The food was very traditional for lunch and dinner and we loved this choice.

If I had to give you an improvement suggestion, I'd say that you should focus on the quality of sleep aboard. The power generator is a little bit noisy and it can disturb your guest's rest. May be a more silent model should help. Also the choice of the places where to stay overnight can help,  but I'm aware that Mekong is a very busy river with many boats so it can be difficult to find a peaceful place where to stop.

Anyway We've been happy to visit Viet Nam with you and of course we'll keep you in consideration for our next holidays in southern Asia.

Thank you.
Best regards,

Hi Nam
-
Poor

Sorry that it has taken me so long in responding to your e-mail. Life of a tourist is a very busy and tiresome life. But exciting nevertheless.
Yes, I would like to give you some feed back about our trip to Lao. First of all, let me tell you that we liked Lao very much and found the people very endearing. We left with plenty of good memories and nostalgia for we do not know that we will ever be back.
Regarding our trip:
1) The guide and driver you organised to pick us up in Xiang Rai, were excellent and very competent, besides being of great help in border administration. The immigration and customs facilities were very impressive.
2) the  hotel in HuayXai however, was terrible. The room, the building, the food, the breakfast, the whole town. I think that you would be better off advising customers to stay on the Thai side for that night and then drive into Lao. It was not such a long ride from what I understood from people we met on the boat the next day and perfectly feasible from Thailand.
3) The boat ride was fabulous. We enjoyed navigating the Mekong downstream. Had an excellent captain who knew his business as the Mekong at that hight is not an easy ride. The excursions were OK as well. I must admit that after many months in SEAsia, we were a bit templed out, Buddha'd out and Villaged out, If I may say so, so we may not have appreciated it as much as other people did. One of the Hmong villages that we visited, was particularly saddening as it was very poor and the people not very welcoming. I do not blame them, here we come, tourists, to take pictures of their poverty. I left with tears in my eyes as I do not know what to do to help these people in a sustainable way.
4) Our stay at the Luang Say lodge was absolutely perfect. We would have loved to stay there an extra night rather then be ferried to the next lodge. It would have been more relaxing. Not that we did not like the next lodge, the Kamu lodge. Olivier the manger was a very nice person. But when you are rushing from one place to the next, one night here, the next there, it is very tiring and you do not get the full enjoyment of a place.
5) The guide, Kee Lee, that accompanied us throughout this portion of the trip, was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful.
6) We then ended in Luang Prabang. Thank you for having us there for 4 days. At first, I thought, what are we going to do for 4 days in Luang Prabang? But it is a real jewel of a city and we enjoyed every minute of it, the Villa Santi in town, the Blue Lagoon restaurant, we even went out to the Santi Resort and Spa for a day for spa treatments. Our guide in Luang Prabang, Cithai,  was exceptionnally nice, helpful and competent. We liked him very much.
7) From Luang Prabang we went to the Plain of Jars which we found very interesting and spend the night in Phonsavan at the Vansana Plain of Jars Hotel, which we did not like very much, particularly to stay 2 nights! From there to  Viang Vien at the Silver Naga Hotel. We did not enjoy that hotel as much compared to Villa Santi. The room was OK, but the restaurant was not good and we found that people do not understand English so it is difficult to communicate with them. If you are in the tourism industry, I am afraid that having a good command of English is a must.
8) We then continued To Vientiane where we enjoyed the Salana Boutique Hotel. We liked it very much. The tours in Vientiane were interesting, particularly those pertaining to the war. Shocking as they may have been, they were a great eye opener. We even found in Vientiane a Belgian beer bar with Tintin and Milou at the door!
9) In Vientiane we said good bye to our guide and flew off to Pakse. It all went very well with the luggage. In Pakse we met Dolphin, probably the weakest of all the guides we had. But, it was possibly his worry with the health of his mother as we were to find out later, that influenced his performance.
We first went to Tadlo to see the waterfall. However, there was no waterfall. We were told that there had been no water for the last month. So, we could have skipped that part of the trip entirely. We did not like the lodge we were in and the food was absolutely non edible!

10) From Tadlo again a lot of km to get back to Pon Arena Hotel. We were surprised that being guests of the hotel, we could not have dinner in their dining room because they had some big shots in town. Mind you, our disappointment was quickly transformed into satisfaction as we went to eat at another eatery that also belonged to the same owner, down the road and had a delicious fish cooked in coconut milk. One of the few very delicious meals we had in Lao..
11) Finally, we ended up in the La Follie Lodge. A very nice and quiet place to relax before leaving Lao.
12) as I said before, Dolphin had his mother dying and therefore left us at the La Follie Lodge. Two days later as we were to depart for our flight to Siem Reap, we were sent our driver and another guide.
We were very happy with our trip to Lao and shall keep very good memories to last forever. We hope that your country will succeed in progressing and looking to a brighter future for its people. They deserve it.

Dear Mrs Huong Bui
It was a great experience and we enjoyed our journey very much. The tour was very well assembled and the guides were very knowledgable and helpful. Our great respect also for the drivers who managed to navigate always very safe through partly heavy traffic.
Maybe one detail for improvement:
The day HCM + Cu Chi is quite packed, and if you take the time the Cu Chi tunnels deserve you cannot visit all the sights in HCM as planned.
Actually we are planning already for our vacation next year and there is a high probability to book again through your company. We will get in touch as soon as we are sure about time and destination.

Best regards and thanks again for your great tour organization

Hi Huong
I wanted to write some feedback when we returned back to the UK, however got caught up with a busy work schedule.

So your email was the perfect prompt.

My husband and I would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone at Asia King for making our holiday of a lifetime exactly that. I know I’d completed some research regarding what hotels and things to do, however without your help and organisation it would have taken far longer to have organised. And I’m sure we wouldn’t have found the same level of expert and friendly guides. You took what I’d asked for and converted in to the perfect holiday.

The drivers and guides that looked after us, did exactly that – they looked after us, told us about their countries, how things are changing, plus information and history about the tours we went on. They were all timely in picking us up from hotels and airports and were so genuinely friendly. We learnt such a lot about Cambodia and Vietnam. We have amazing memories of everything!!! Our guide in Cambodia even got us to the front of the queue for going up the centre of Angkor Wat at 7:40am!

I’d highly recommend the hotel we stayed at in Siem Reap and the Villa Song hotel in HCM. The Anatara was small, private and personal with genuinely friendly staff. The room, pool and food was great. The Villa Song, despite being off the tourist track in District 2 was great because it was out of the city. Being on the river was lovely and the food there was delicious.

Our cruise on the Mekong was great. Mango Cruises and our guide, really looked after us. Especially when I fell of my bike and injured my knee. We learnt a lot about Mekong life and loved the cooking demonstration.

There’s one thing that confused us. We were asked whether the food was alright on feedback forms and during the phone call we received during the holiday. We both love Asian food (as do lots of people from the UK) and we loved trying new things including fried crickets and stuffed frog.

Overall we fell in love with Cambodia and Vietnam and will be coming back to visit different parts in future years. And, will be coming back to ask for Asia Kings help!

Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Kind Regards, Cordialement
Judith

Dear Loan ,
-
Excellent
After completing the itinerary you organised for us in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia we went on to spend two weeks in Australia, and are now back home in England.

This message is just to acknowledge all the hard work and attention to detail that you and the team at Asia King Travel put into setting up our trip, which was a great success. We were very pleased with the whole experience, and appreciated our friendly and informative guides, the comfortable hotels and excellent lunches, the smooth and efficient travel arrangements, and, of course, the amazing sights, scenery and people we encountered as we travelled around. We would definitely use your services again if we return to SE Asia, and we should certainly recommend Asia King Travel to anyone thinking of a trip to the area.

So, a big thank you from us both for an unforgettable holiday!

With best wishes,

Hello Huong,
We are now on the way back to Vienna. The report for our last destination Myanmar: everything perfect.Great tour, great guides, high quality cars, good weather.
In Myanmar was only a small issue: there was no transfer waiting in Mandalay at the jetty (after the cruise Paukan arrived) to the Mandalay Hill hotel. I think the reason was, because the changed the arrive jetty. But this was absolut no problem, because we take a motortaxi and had a funny drive with all our luggage.
Thanks again for all you afford and the really good organized tour for 8 weeks.

One question: how is Loan? Mr Nam told us about her health problems. I hope she is OK, I'll keep my fingers cross. I had the same problems years ago.

if you have time, pls inform the offfice at Myanmar, that all guides were perfect. Great thanks to all of them.

Hi Ms.Vy Phuong,

Thank you for your email.

Yes, we arrived safely on 22nd Jan (instead of 21st Jan) having been put up in the hotel in Amsterdam as we could not travel back to London on 21st due to lots of snow at London airport.

We had a very good trip right the way through Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. We saw lots of good things and it was a very memorable experience .All our guides were good and helpful. Guide in Vietnam Quin was funny and made us laugh a  lot.He had very good knowledge of various places .The guide in Cambodia, Govinda was very humble and kind and very helpful. In Thailand we had Kanya who was a very good guide and went out of  her way to help us.The drivers were helpful too. Hotels were generally good except one in Chiangmai where there was no hot water in the bathroom basin.the hotel staff were however, helpful and friendly. We found that there was not enough vegetarian food in Vietnam, but we got by.

All in all,Asia King provided a very good service to us and we are very grateful to you for that. We will certainly recommend other people to use your Company in future for various trips.

Our special thanks to Ms. Vy who organised our trip very well. And of course thanks to Asia King as a whole.

Thank you very much.

Best wishes

Thank you for your e-mail and for organising this trip for us. We arrived here safely on 22nd jan.
We have had a memorable trip with your company and have come back with sweet memories of Veitnam, Cambodia and also Thailand.

It was also nice to meet you personally and have dinner with you.
Our guide Quin in Veitnam was very knowledgable, infomative and entertained us all the way through.
Bunny-our guide in Siam Reap looked after us ,gave us detailed explanations of the culture and rituals.
Kanya in Thailand was very efficient in organising everything for us.
The drivers were very helpful too. Hotels were generally very good and centrally located with exception of hotel in Phnom pehn-which was noisy.
Overall we had a very pleasant trip and will definitely recommend you to our friends here in U.K. and relatives in India.
