Itineraries

Heritage Line welcomes you aboard the Anouvong in Luang Prabang for a captivating 3-night Mekong journey. As we sail, enjoy a lecture on Laos' diverse ethnic groups before arriving at the famous Pak Ou Caves, home to 4,000 sacred Buddhist statues.

Enhance your visit with an optional kayak tour on the Nam Ou River or explore Ban Muang Keo, known for silk weaving and Lao whisky distillation. In the afternoon, visit Ban Khok Phou village to witness traditional farming and experience a sacred Baci ceremony.

End the day with a welcome cocktail and a barbecue dinner on a scenic sandbank.

Early risers can start the day with a refreshing yoga session on the terrace deck, set against the stunning Mekong backdrop.

As the ship sails, enjoy breakfast while taking in the river’s morning life. Our mid-morning stop brings us to Had Sako, a secluded Hmong village known for its unique corn cultivation. Walk through the rainforest to reach the village, where locals in traditional attire introduce us to the “Kene” flute and its mesmerizing melodies.

In the afternoon, we visit a remarkable village where Hmong, Lao Loum, and Khamo ethnic groups coexist. Meet local families, learn about their traditions, and, if the season allows, explore their organic gardens.

Back on board, enjoy sunset snacks at the bar, followed by a traditional dance performance before dinner. End the night with a classic Laotian film, Chiang, setting the mood for the next day’s adventure.

Start your day with an optional sunrise yoga session before trying your hand at bamboo weaving, creating a handmade keepsake of this traditional craft.

After lunch, we visit a sustainable elephant sanctuary near Pakbeng, where rescued elephants now thrive in a peaceful jungle setting. Learn about their stories and, if time permits, take in breathtaking views from a hilltop temple with remnants of the former Lan Na Kingdom.

As evening falls, we anchor at a scenic sandbank for a sunset aperitif, followed by a farewell dinner on the terrace deck, celebrating the end of this unforgettable journey.

After an unforgettable 3-night cruise, today offers a slower pace to reflect on your journey. As we sail towards Huay Xai, enjoy a relaxed morning with an insightful presentation on the Golden Triangle’s history.

Watch as we navigate the Mekong’s rapids and sandbanks before joining a Lao cooking class, leading into a delicious farewell brunch.

By mid-afternoon, we arrive at Huay Xai, where we assist with transfers to the Lao-Thai border. Wishing you a smooth onward journey, with optional transfers available to Chiang Rai or Chiang Saen.
