Itineraries

In the morning, transfer from Sokha Angkor Resort in Siem Reap to the RV La Marguerite by coach (5 hours). A packed lunch will be provided during the journey. Along the way, make a stop at the Kampong Kdei Bridge, an ancient Angkorian structure built during the reign of Jayavarman VII. Arrive on board in the afternoon, where you will be welcomed with a buffet and shown to your cabins. The cruise will then begin towards Wat Hanchey, followed by a Welcome Dinner on board.

In the morning, after breakfast, visit Wat Hanchey, a pre-Angkorian temple perched atop a hill with stunning views of the Mekong River. Dating back to the 8th century, the temple’s ancient brick structures reflect the architectural style of the Chenla Empire, which predates the grandeur of Angkor. Return to the ship for lunch as you continue the journey, arriving in Kampong Cham during the meal. In the afternoon, take a bus excursion to explore Wat Nokor, a unique 12th-century Buddhist temple built on the ruins of an older temple, offering a remarkable glimpse into Cambodia’s rich history.

In the morning, enjoy a peaceful navigation along the Upper Mekong, arriving at Angkor Ban. This charming village, overlooking the river, offers a serene and majestic view bathed in the soft morning light, set in a pristine environment. Angkor Ban is one of the rare villages that survived the Khmer Rouge period, providing a unique insight into intimate Cambodian life. Explore the village on stilts and discover traditional houses, some of which are over a century old. Afterward, return to the ship and continue your journey towards Silk Island, where you’ll visit a silk weaving village. The cruise continues with a late arrival in Phnom Penh. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Apsara dance performance onboard.

Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, still boasts its charming French colonial architecture along the riverside streets. In the morning, embark on a bus tour that includes visits to the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, followed by a stop at the National Museum, home to exceptional displays of Khmer crafts. Return to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon, take an excursion to the former High School “S21,” now the Tuol Sleng Museum, which was converted into a detention center during the Khmer Rouge regime from 1975 to 1979. Enjoy some leisure time for shopping at the Central Market before returning to the ship for dinner.

In the morning, the ship departs towards the Vietnam border. As you cruise along the Mekong River, witness the timeless villages and vibrant river life, with extensive fishing activities along the way. The ship will cross the border, and all necessary formalities will be completed during the journey.

Arrive in Tan Chau in the morning, a remote town located along the main Mekong River. After breakfast, transfer to small boats for a visit to this charming town. Tan Chau offers a fascinating blend of rural life and vibrant economic activity, making it a perfect representation of this part of Asia. Explore the town's unique atmosphere and immerse yourself in its local culture.

Arrive in Sa Dec, a bustling town on the Mekong Delta where the French writer Marguerite Duras spent parts of her childhood. Visit the house of Marguerite’s Chinese lover, which now serves as a small museum dedicated to The Lover. Next, explore a Caodaist Temple and enjoy a stroll through the vibrant local market. Return to the ship for lunch. The journey continues with a cruise past Vinh Long Province, situated in the heart of the Delta region, between the two Mekong tributaries. Arrive in Cai Be, where you’ll take a local boat tour to visit the French Gothic Cathedral, followed by a walk along the riverbank to see a rice paper and coconut sweet manufacturer. In the evening, enjoy dinner on board and a traditional music performance.

Arrive in My Tho and disembark after breakfast for a bus transfer to Saigon city center. Along the way, make a stop at the bustling Cholon Market and visit a lacquer factory to witness traditional craftsmanship. The transfer will conclude with a drop-off at the Sofitel Plaza around 12:00 pm.
