Before boarding in Chau Doc, you have the opportunity to visit the temple of the goddess of the Sam Mount and to realize how faithful and thankful are the believers who offer her some grilled pigs or more valuable presents. You have then the chance to meet some very skilled weavers from a Cham Village before getting on board of our Sampan Tcharokaa for your first dinner and your first night on the Mekong Delta. The sampan cruises in the destination to Long Xuyen

After breakfast, a small sampan brings you to the floating market in Long Xuyen and then to the mainland to visit local market. Return to the ship for lunch. The boat crosses the Bassac from Long Xuyen to Ong Ho Island, the island of the tiger that you visit by bicycle or walk. You have chance to see some traditional houses, learn more about traditional handicraft and farming activities of the local people with Khmer origins. At the end of the day, Tcharokaa sails to Sa Dec. You have once again the privileged spectators of Mekong daily life from your table. You’ll spend your second night on board.

Sa Dec, a town particularly rich in colonial architecture: most of its beautiful villas still in good shape reflect the past splendor in Cochinchine. You visit the Chinese house of Marguerite Duras’ lover, the school of her mother, a Cao Dai Temple and a bonsai garden. The cruise ends after your last lunch on board.

Advance registration is required with full name, date of birth, nationality, gender, passport number and visa expiry date for all passengers. A valid passport is required upon check-in. Otherwise, boarding may be denied by port authority.
