Xuan Son National Park is an ecological reserve in Phu Tho Province, northern Vietnam. Established in 2002, the National Park covers an area over 15 000 hectares. It is divided into three zones with different purposes: restricted zone (9099 hectares), ecological restoration zone (3645 hectares), and tourism zone (2304 hectares).

Xuan Son National Park is located in Tan Son District, Phu Tho Province, approximately 120 kilometers from Hanoi. You can choose Xuan Son as an in-day trip with close distance to the capital and the Noi Bai International Airport.

The National Park lies on a limestone mountain system with an altitude of 700 to 1,300 meters. There are many stone caves in the area.
If you land at the airport in Hanoi, there is some transportation recommended for you to visit Xuan Son National Park. You can catch a coach following the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Highway and get off in Tan Son. Otherwise, you can find a personal car and go to National Freeway 3. It takes you about 3 hours to get to the Park.

The Park offers a range of trails, from easy walks to challenging hikes. One of the most popular treks is the ascent to the summit of Ten Mountain, which is the highest peak in Xuan Son.

Along the way, you will not only walk on scenic trails but also discover unique plants. You can spot rare animals and birds in their natural habitat.
Due to the process of weathering, Xuan Son has 16 stone caves in diverse shapes. Visiting the cave here, visitors will be amazed by the beauty of the stalactites hanging down. Tien Cave is an underground cave of a 10-kilometer-long marble mountain. In the cave, there is a ventilation path straight to the top of the mountain, making the air cool and fresh.

Within Xuan Son National Park’s campus, the museum displays specimens of plants and animals. As well as models simulating the production activities of the Dao and Muong ethnic groups through exhibitions of production tools and traditional house models.

Xuan Son stone crab: Crabs live in rocky ravines. When cooked, stone crabs have a pink-yellow color mixed with cockroach wings, and have a unique aroma mixed with the scent of lemongrass. The crab is served on a hot plate dipped in white salt and chili. When eaten, the crab has very firm meat and a rich flavor.

Wild vegetables: Vegetables from the wild can be considered a very traditional dish of the Muong people. The special thing about wild vegetables is that herbs have a bitter, acrid taste. They are very efficient in preventing flu, fighting toxic winds, increasing the body's resistance…
Sour meat: The meat to make this sour meat dish is fermented according to a special recipe of the Muong people. Sour meat is a unique dish with a sour and savory taste. It is often served with some raw vegetables. This is a great dish on the drinking table with a few bottles of cold beer.
Currently, entrance tickets to Xuan Son National Park are completely free. But at some cave attractions, to further support electricity, sanitation services, etc. to serve visitors, the National Park Management Board has collected entrance fees. Each cave has a small fee of VND 10 000 per person.
If you want to take part in the swimming area, you will have to pay VND 20 000 for entrance.
