The best time to visit Wat Amphawan Chetiyaram is during the cooler, dry season from November to February. During this period, temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C, and lower humidity makes exploring the temple more comfortable. This season coincides with significant cultural events like Loy Krathong in November, with its beautiful floating lanterns, and Makha Bucha in February, featuring candlelight processions and religious ceremonies.
These months offer fewer crowds, providing a more peaceful experience, and the clear skies enhance photographic opportunities, capturing the temple's intricate architecture and serene environment.
To reach there, take a bus from Amphoe Mueang Samut Songkhram's Municipal Market to Bang Nok Khwaek and Ratchaburi, then get out in front of Wat Amphawan Chetiyaram. Alternatively, start traveling along Highway 35 (Thon Buri-Pak Tho).
Drive past the town of Samut Songkhram and continue for another 6 kilometers before turning right onto Highway 325. Take a left turn between km 36 and 37 for approximately 1 kilometer. The temple is open everyday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
