Best time to visit Tram Chim National Park 

If you want to see fully the beauty of Tram Chim National Park, the flood season is a great time (around September - December). During this time, you will admire the vast landscape of water as well as countless types of green plants, dotted with the pink colors of lotus flowers and water lilies in full bloom. 

This period is also the bird breeding season. One of the "specialties" of Tram Chim National Park is the red-crowned crane.

But to see this rare bird, you must come here during the dry season from January to June. That is due to the characteristic of red-crowned cranes that they only forage on the ground. So during the flood season in Dong Thap Muoi, they will fly away to search for food.

Where is Tram Chim National Park 

Tram Chim National Park is in Dong Thap Muoi Region, Tam Nong District, Dong Thap Province. This area is located about 160 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City but the road is quite easy to travel. If you depart from Cao Lanh City, you will have to travel about 35 kilometers to reach the national park.

How to get to Tram Chim National Park

From Ho Chi Minh City, you travel along Trung Luong - Tan An - Tan Thanh highway. At My An - Moc Hoa intersection, you turn to Truong Xuan, drive a short distance and you will reach Tram Chim Town. From here, you will see signs leading to Tram Chim National Park.

Coming to Tam Nong District, you pass Tram Chim Bridge, continue about 800 meters and you will see Tram Chim National Park Conservation Center on the left.

If you depart from Cao Lanh City, you can move along National Road 30 to the intersection near Thanh Binh District Medical Center, then turn right to reach Tram Chim.
