The Three Layers Waterfall (Kon Bong Waterfall) is situated on a hill in Quang Thanh Ward, Gia Nghia City, Dak Nong Province. It’s about 8 kilometers from the center of Gia Nghia City, following National Highway No. 14 in the direction of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province.

How to get to Three Layers Waterfall

  • By air: To reach the cascade, travelers can fly to two nearby airports: Buon Ma Thuot Airport in Dak Lak Province (130 kilometers away) or Lien Khuong Airport in Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province Da Lat (150 kilometers away). Then, they will need to take another coach to Gia Nghia City. The trip will take about 2 hours and 45 minutes from Buon Ma Thuot Airport, and 3 hours 45 minutes from Lien Khuong Airport. 
  • By coach: There are quite a few daily coaches from Buon Ma Thuot and Da Lat to Gia Nghia as well. It will take about 3 to 4 hours to travel to the destination, with the price ranging from VNĐ 300.000. You can also choose to travel on overnight coaches to reach Gia Nghia in the early morning. 
  • By private vehicles: Motorcycles or cars are possible means of transportation for travelers from neighboring provinces to visit Three Layers Waterfall. From Ho Chi Minh City, for example, you can pass through Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc Province, then follow National Highway No. 14 to Dak Nong Province.

Dak Nong experiences two seasons: the rainy season from May to November, peaking in August and September, and the dry season from November to March of the following year, with very little rainfall.

The period from January to March in South Vietnam is favorable for traveling to Three Layers Waterfall, characterized by beautiful sunny weather without excessive heat.
