There are no restaurants or food stalls at the Pa La-u Waterfall, so you should bring your own food for a picnic. Sticky rice, grilled meats, fried rice, sandwiches, fruits and snacks are some popular options. You can buy them from local markets or convenience stores in towns nearby such as Hua Hin which is about 60 kilometers away. For drinks, bring lots of water and other refreshing beverages.

Staying overnight in the National Park: There are 15 homes for rent, ranging from 1,200 to 3,000 baht. Tents may be hired for 2-4 persons at a cost of 120-250 baht/night. If you bring your own tent, you will be charged 10 baht per person per night for a camping area.
To see the butterflies, it is best to visit the fall between November and April and from 7 A.M. to 10 A.M. The waterfall can be reached by Local transport from Hua Hin for a distance of 63 kilometers.

If you are in Hua Hin, a well-known beach resort town about 60 kilometers away, you can go to Pa La-u Waterfall in Kaeng Krachan National Park. The most convenient way is to drive a car which can be rented from Hua Hin or arranged by a tour operator or private driver.
It usually takes about one and a half hours driving along the route with clear signs showing the direction to Kaeng Krachan National Park and Pa La-u Waterfall. When you arrive at the waterfall parking area, just walk on the good path provided there until you reach lower levels of the waterfall.
