How to get around Mukdahan

Bicycle - The town is quite small and may be explored on a bicycle. You may hire from Nikorn Bike, find a hotel with bicycles, or ask your receptionist if they know of any rental businesses.

Motorbike/car rental establishments are not as common as they are in more tourist-friendly places. The easiest option to hire a car is at an airport, but because Mukdahan does not have one, you're more likely to acquire one by asking your hotel receptionist for a contact (they will typically arrange it for you if you don't understand Thai).

Taxi - Taxis are available, however if you're located outside of town, you may need to ask your hotel to organize one for you.

Songthaew/tuk-tuks - In Mukdahan, songthaews come in two colors: yellow and blue. Yellow songthaews loop the town for 10 baht (including a stop at the bus terminal). Blue songthaew fly south toward the Mukdahan Tower. Get aboard and see where you end up.
