History of Long Coc Tea Hill

Long Coc Tea Hill shares over one thousand years with Vietnam's eternal, endless tea culture. It is in the late 19th and early 20th centuries that planting tea had first started under the French colonials. Due to fertile land, mild weather, coupled with undulation on the surface topography, the area turned into an appropriate locality for this green crop-tea plantations.

In due course, the production of tea became part and parcel of the local economy, with Long Coc Tea Hill emerging as one of the prominent areas in which tea was grown. Presently, the place is popular for its green tea of the best quality and for preserving Vietnam's tea heritage. Their attachment to occupation is reflected in the generational handedness of the farmers in the technique of cultivation.
