Koh Pha Ngan has no airport, so visitors have to take a ferry from the mainland or nearby islands like Koh Samui and Koh Tao. Visitors can reach the island by boat from the mainland from three ports in Samui, three in Surat Thani, and one in Chumphon.
It takes approximately 1 day, 7 hours and 17 minutes to drive from Surat Thani to Koh Pha Ngan, covering a distance of 1,302 miles. If you're not planning to drive, you can also take a ferry or a bus to Koh Pha Ngan.
Going by ferry is the fastest option, taking about 2 hours. You can take a ferry from Surat Thani or Koh Samui. The bus is the cheapest option, but it takes the longest, about 6 hours. You can opt to take a bus from Surat Thani.
